Hi Sam, our oven in our apartment is fan forced. You'll probably need both since crust isn't pre-baked.

Hi Michelle, pie crust doesn't contain any yeast. Yes, it is simply made with flour, salt, butter, sugar and sometimes egg yolk. Hope this helps. Happy baking!

Hi Jovv, for this recipe it's actually just a personal preference. Some people may achieved a smooth egg pie without tempering eggs. We prefer to treat the eggs with little bit of TLC to achieve a smooth, creamy texture in our egg pie. Hope this helps :)

      Hi there,
Over mixing could be one thing. It will create a lot of air in the mixture if na over mixed sya especially if you're using a blender. Heat could be another factor as well.
      Hope this helps :)

Hi Lilybeth, sorry for the delay in response. Did you chill it in the fridge after baking? I normally chill it in the fridge after it cooled down to room temp. Also, it depends on the pie tin size and the oven temperature. I have convection oven at home.

Yes, there's an excess in the filling and in the crust. I used the excess and made 2 small pies.

The egg pie recipe without the condensed milk is much better. It uses sugar instead so it doesn’t taste like a giant flan pie.

Hi there, yes you're right. So you'll get almost the same creaminess and custardy texture of a flan though not as rich as the egg-yolk only flan since this recipe uses whole eggs. Happy baking!

To answer your question, 1 can of condensed milk is approximately 485g which is equivalent to 1 1/4 cups + 1 tsp (approx). A can of evaporated milk (approx. 385ml) is equivalent to 1 2/3 cups + 2 tsp. Hope this helps. Happy baking!
