This is very fascinating I’m close to Fairview. I hang out there most of the times. Does anyone remember any barbershops in the 1960s and before. Unfortunately there aren’t any old school barbershops anymore

That was really good! I grew up in Fairview, and this brought to mind the terms we had such as "Lower Fairview", "Below the hill" "Dan Kelley's", Nunguessers. It's been many years since I've been there, but always nostalgic.

Well, the church you see on the right, at 1:15 is still there, on Fairview Avenue (once known as Bull Ferry's Road, aka Dan Kelley's Hill). I think the picture at 1:50 shows the intersection of, what is today, Fairview Avenue and Route 1 (aka Broad Avenue). I'm assuming that what you see on the left in that picture, at 1:50, is Dan Kelley's Inn. Can't be sure, though.

Jason Meadows the hills look less steep back then. It’s interesting trying to identify the locations!

@@farii202 Yes, the hill looks less steep. Maybe it's an optical illusion. In 1994, I bought at book from Fairview Borough Hall, celebrating Fairview's 100th anniversary as a borough. I've since lost the book. But I could have sworn that it said that Dan Kelley's Hill (now known as Fairview Avenue) was made less steep in the early 20th Century. Yet, today's Fairview Avenue seems more steep than it does in the photo here.
