I just got into a game on 4 lakes and because I lose every time on that map I just panic searched for a build order and found that. The problem was that I was missing the Info “Lithuanians“ so I picked Magyars. Didn’t took me long to notice that there is something off but I still won that game with a ton of idle tc and villagers in the beginning 😂 Im sure this will work even better with the proper civ.
My fav build. I have tried a bunch of times to get even more extreme and go for a 19+2, building the dock with the 3rd starting vill and then going for stragglers, then 1 or 2 fishing ships and then a lumber camp. I've only had it work reasonably once but with 20+sec of idle time. Do you think it's possible to go 19+2 ? PS. A bit more early shorefish allows you to only go for 6 fishing ships in dark age in stead of 7 while still getting your 800f in time to click up.
I'm pretty sure I optimized this one as much as I could when I made it (2+ years ago). Villagers take 25 seconds to build so with 20+ seconds idle time, you might as well just make another vil.
I recently went 18with loom+2 with a variation of this build. Up at 12:33 with some idle time. 6 fishing ships only, no gold miners, i believe 8 on wood. Can't be done with a spawn between the two ponds I believe. Market blacksmith to go up, sell stone. Then it's very tight to build mining camp on gold with 5 vills, barracks and then stable is up just when you reach castle. Definitely no chance for bloodlines but you can get knights out a bit earlier. Doesn't seem preferential to your build because it's supertight on res but I like to practice these extreme sorta builds.
It's in the discord in a word file. It doesn't really come out well in text only since I list the number of villagers at each point in the build. If I could attach files on TH-cam, I would.
@@lukasg4807 Ah yeah, I tried to make one with Byzantines and it's just not that good. I've seen forward spear + skirm be effective though. I'm not sure you can have a build order for it since you just have to adapt and stop spears or skirms after a while.
@@SurvivalistAoE well I didn't think you could have a BO for vikings archers into 3 stable knights into castle drop either 11. I would look at some 8 year old recs to see how they did it but I can't get aoc to run on my PC. I assume it must have been decent, I'm not sure why it fell out of style though. Maybe just increasing micro made trash units more exploitable.
Even though I made a few small mistakes, I crushed my opponent so hard he accused me of cheating. Great build, I used to struggle with this map before. Almost feels unfair to go Lithuanians on four lakes its the same with Spanish on land nomad maps.
I’m a newb here but it seems like there is a lot of excess clicking. Either that or it’s happening so fast that I can’t process it. Looks like you telling the same village to hack the same tree 42 times in 5 seconds.
Pathing sucks in this game, so sometimes you have to click them a few times to get a good path. I do agree that maybe it gets a bit excessive sometimes though.
If played well, they can gain an early advantage that can lead to an easy win on hybrid maps. They miss out on shipwright, so they can be a bit bad on pure water or hybrid maps where the water is more central.

I still use this strategy every game on Four Lakes. It beats top tier picks like Japanese and Persians (at least in my experience)
chur brother, was about to give up on water maps myself, very fustrating not knowing how to play them out

Think Lithuanians are the four lakes civ. Getting fish earlier than your opponent is huge.
