Dude, that’s awesome. That’s why I’m making these videos to try to help people like you. I hope it goes well and I think it will for you! In a few years, you’ll have several machines. I’ve seen it time and time again.
i have had to replace many of the x axis way covers on 3 vf4 ss machines. we machine fiberglass parts no coolant allowed therefore no lubrication . so every 6 months a cover would destroy itself. i finally bought bellows way covers which so far have worked. the covers move over 1 million times/ year 500 cycles / day on the parts .
helped me alot with cleaning a FADAL, had to deal with interior springs that connected the two separate X covers
love your channel and what you are doing man, been a subscriber for a year now. pretty sure ill be buying a vf2 some time this year.

Thanks, man! Love your content! Uh-oh....are you using "BOOM" like Titan? 🤣
It slipped!
you are correct on bent covers. i tried straightening and could get them working again for a while but at some point a rapid move and they crunch up.
Hi Man! I changed my way cowers. After about 5-6 weeks start having a coolant in bottle for old oil behind machine any ? Help with that ? Thanks Jan
Check the drain that goes from the back of the y axis to the coolant tank. That could be plugged. Use air to blow back up it.
What kind of silicone are you using inside machines that coolant doesn’t turn to goo?
Sikaflex you can get it at a hardware store. We sell it on our website too:
@@cncrepairman will order some for my next project! Ended up using some yamabond I had on hand…

I have had to do this too for one customer.
First you need to eat some pizzas and lift some weights to grow some arms to disassemble those way covers.
