Simply amazing, as usual you have amazing talent and i am immeasurably happy to have found someone with such talent playing folk music from not just ireland but other places as well if you haven't already you really should make an album--i would buy it without a second thought
Lovely rendition. Zoltan is an incredible musician who captures Irish spirit in his music--a difficult spirit to catch because of its contradictions: both ancient and modern, sad and happy. Wonderful rendition, as I said.
thanks for your work Mr Zoltán, you are doing a great work in keeping European tradition alive! We must resist the destruction of our people and culture
There really is just an insane amount of versions of this music. Used a lot of time hearing all I found, but now I'm pretty sure I've found the one I think is the best.
I think that this melody is so beautiful ... so sorrowful but it wants to make you dance at the same time . You are very talented and if you ever come out with CD that includes music like this I would be the first in line to buy !
Ri na sidhe in Irish Gaelic. Beautiful rendition. Ri na sidhe en gaélique irlandais. Très belle version. Ri na sidhe em gaélico irlandês. Uma versão bonita.

@1916dnicolas The Irish Rovers sang this in the 60's or 70's - the first two verses. I have a copy I made from an early vinyl I bought when it first came out. A fair amount of their music is very much in this style (Do you remember "The Unicorn"?).
Helló! Remek a hangszerelés és jól is szól, bár én kicsit gyorsnak találom a tempóját, igaz helyfüggő hol játszák a hornpipe-ot gyorsabban. Azon még nem tetszett gondolkozni, hogy használjon tradícionális ír díszítéseket?
@brianmgr111 Where did you get these lyrics? Can you send me all of them? I am an USA, irish fiddler and this is my favorite tune I've ever played. Had no ideal there were lyrics. Awesome.
Sounds almost identical to Waylander's "King of the Fairies", so is this actually an older folk song that both you and Waylander have done renditions of, or is this a Waylander cover? Still fucking beautiful either way.
I've just recently discovered all this wonderful Irish folk music, finding free sheets online and playing them on flute - wish I had a low whistle though. Do you have any good sheet locations for this stuff? I'm addicted
King of the Fairies is usually a hornpipe. The way it is played here ist unusual, because at least in the beginning, the "A" part isn't repeated, and neither is the "b" part, which makes you wonder about the lengh of eigth bars: 16 beats (reel), or 32 (hornpipe)? Also, one leading instrument doesn't quite pronounce the ternary feel, and appears to be playing somewhat binary. However, the tune still offers a start at "8" rather than "1" and you can still hear two pronounced beats at the end of
It's not uncommon here in Ireland to walk past a pub, and hear traditional music like this blasting at full volume.
