- Here’s another truck I filmed in Charlotte NC. This is not your average WM ZR. I really like how this truck lid flips every stop. This truck also has a special city of Charlotte wrap. Anyway, not much else to say about this truck. Thanks to the very friendly driver for letting me follow him around! Enjoy!

Beautiful ASL on this bad boy. I work for Republic, where we mainly use manual loaders, but boy oh boy would I love to take one of these baby’s for spin.

I drive the same truck tuck as him but for my safety I pick up the arm all the way in between vehicles just for my safety and objects around me good job tho!

Does anyone know how to make these work faster? We got 10 new ZR Mack trucks at our company and only 2 of them work fast. The others are too slow
If you can get the maintenance code for the little control screen in the cab there is a way to adjust the speed the arm goes at on there I believe

Logan Knowles, it actually does matter. It looks bad. It is a customer service thing. Also, all the lids open is ugly as well. I drive garbage trucks too and my company uses ZR's as well. We are supposed to get out and stand carts up that fall over and shut our lids. It makes the neighborhood look clean that way. It's actually quite easy to shut a lid with those trucks.
@@mattsamson4891 i work for waste management at this facility and i know this driver personally. It is actually quite difficult to get the lids to shut with these asls. Primarily because each trucks arm operates at a different speed. And we are also required by the city of charlotte to leave the lids open as a courtesy to the customer to let them know their recycling has been picked up. Also as far as the leaving the can just laying there, if we get out and pick up every can that miraculously falls over due to a multitude of different reasons as to why it would fall in the first place, wed never get out route up. I dont know how many customers you guys at your company service in a day, but we average anywhere from 1,000 to 1,500 customers a day. Not to mention we are down 10 drivers and 6 routes down. Needless to say every company operates to their own specific sop. Waste management follows the city of charlottes rules.
