That beast is well optioned. Even has a sunroof, ram air induction and at 60kph the automatic convertible top is sure too work. Sports mods on it too with a dry sump system and probably external fuel tank.
These things were tough old girls …
I remember when I was an apprentice we went into our local Toyota dealer and drove away with one of these brand new …
And she copped a canning !

That nissan is cool. Here is usa. That L28 diesel is big money. The crankshaft is wanted for stroker L28 builds.
Body is scrap, but definitely worthy of the buy for the engine, gear boxes, and maybe axles on the FJ. That block would look great with a clean up and new oil pan, as well as a rebuilt head.
And boys, I daily an 85 patrol shorty Mk like the one in the video. They go hard for a leaf sprung rig, great fun! The L28 is mint too, Tim from the skid factory slapped a turbo and EFI setup on his L28 Patrol lol. Good platform

The 55 looks like it didn't make through the creek and got drowned. Great 4wd in it's day. Drove them up north. Bam the patrol looks like a good base. Too clean to have been abused. Go for it. Thanks gentlemen. Your fantastic.

Spray the crank and soak it. Make sure the starter works, bump it for very quickly whilst hitting the pistons, so it helps you freeing it off, use wood, not to damage the pistons. You can also be using the gearbox to free the motor-obviously choose a high gear, lift one of the wheels and use suitable bars, levers, etc. Most likely you will be able to free it off like that. You are half way there.
Or, you know, _scrap it._
Plug that " motor " into an extension cord .🙄
I saw one of those in QLD rusted down to a windscreen with a chair on a pallet to steer it launching and retrieving a boat , that ones quite good
Once the rocker cover came off…that was next-level rust on the rockers and valve springs. The crankshaft is probably the same after the water.
I think I'm going to pick the next rig to try and get running, might even make sure it has a sump on it 😂

Chop the top off and the pillars except for the front window pillars so can still have a window, take front gaurds off less angle restrictions then weld in a roll gage bammm solid 4×4 38' all terrain tyres

I know the junk yard and JDM used parts in Japan that sold parts in pallet in very cheap. These parts are better than American outsources cheap junk! Why don't you consider buying these old JDM from Japan. I did the experiment of JDAM parts when I was poor and unemployed when I was in CA and it work very well financially.

I have a MQ Patrol wagon with a custom efi VN 5.0 and TH700 conversion in it the old girl pulls 90km/h in first gear in drive.
Id hose the crank down with wd40 or similar. Thats probably whats seizing the worst. Needs alittle lube lube
