I've been using a very identical deck list and I'm in love with it. Pure Ghoti is nice and all, but seriously leaves a lackluster/fragile opening board. With Deep Sea King, my opening is now: Dragite, Baronne, Icejade Gymir AND Serpent (with Shif/Paces flying in hot on the next turn). It's so nice now and I won't play the deck without it.

You need Crossout Designator. It's the best card in the entire deck. Not only is it functionally a third Called By for protection, but it can also uniquely enable your own plays by banishing one of your Ghoti from deck just like Gold Sarc (which people also run for consistency if they have space).

Honestly my only issue is running deep seaking at three, but other then that I didn’t know transmodify was a card at all! Gonna be making a few changes to my ghoti deck
You and me both! I hve a couple of variants and this would be the third variant I have. I haven't had this much fun with deck building since with thunder dragons and punks
I already finish my deck building and it's a ghoti runick variant but wow adding a king to space fish bring out this much then it's time to use this variant I still have enough resources to burn and be ready for next pack. Also RIP blackwing hahahah fish is best.

complete newbie here with a question: Why can deep sea king activate it's effect again when the monocerus(spelling?) brings it back from the graveyard? I thought that ability was just once a turn?
@@fatmasterblaster its not, 50:50.. swordsoul could easily win the game if they going 1st and set up their board right.. unless we have more card to play through against that board, we can won that game
This can win againts many decks as long as you main deck 3 evenly. In this meta evenly is really good or DRNM just cut the field spell because it's practically useless and cut some fish and you are good to go.

deep sea king is an old card so its not surprising. a lot of junky decks around edison times tried to use it.

Synchro summon for the chonky snake
it's an engine to run synchro in this deck, but if you don't like it, you can swap to "assault mode active" engine. it's worked well too.
