  • How to make sourdough focaccia bread? Easy sourdough focaccia recipe. Sourdough focaccia for beginners. Regardless of your level of interest in sourdough focaccia bread, this video will walk you through the steps to produce perfect sourdough focaccia bread every time.
    RECIPE:
    515 gr bread flour
    407 gr water
    50 gr sourdough starter
    10 gr salt
    INSTRUCTIONS:
    Feed starter, and once it doubles in volume, mix flour, water, salt, and starter. At 30 minute intervals, perform two stretch and folds, then let dough rest on counter at room temperature 12 - 18 hours. After proofing, place dough in 9 X 13 pan and let dough rest 1-2 hours. Stretch dough to cover pan, place dimples in the dough, and bake 26-30 minutes at 400' F.

    I absolutely LOVE this recipe! Today's bake has sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, red onions, a sprinkle of rosemary and of course, the cheeses! Absolutely wonderful! TY for sharing!

    I'll be trying out this recipe first thing next week. I should definitely found that I prefer focaccia that is baked in a rectangular baking pan, as opposed to something like a rimmed baking sheet. Not only does it make more evenly, it encourages a higher rise, and a much improved crumb.

    Fantastic video! NOW I can stop playing around with my recipe and just use yours....But it is a plus that even when I screw up, the bread still tastes good! Thank you Sir for your time and effort getting this video done and perfecting the recipe!

      @@rontressler647 Baked the first one (sandwich in 9x13). I over-proofed it by at least an hour or two, so I think that's why it stayed a bit flat. It took 40 minutes at 400 deg for it to brown up, so I'm thinking my oven needs to be set at 425 instead. A little flat, but totally my fault. Letting it cool now.
      Breadstick batch going in now and upped the temp to 425. I'm sure they will both taste great regardless. Next bake I will make sure not to over proof!
