Most Scenic Hike to Kallur Lighthouse on Kalsoy, Faroe Islands 🇫🇴

- Good Morning from he Beautiful Island of Kalsoy in Faroe Islands 🇫🇴
I have been waiting to hike the Kallur Lighthouse ever since I saw the beautiful photos of it on the internet many years ago! This morning I caught a ferry from the town of Klaksvík and in just 20 minutes I was on the island of Kalsoy!
As you disembark the ferry, buses to take you to Mikladalur and Trøllanes await you. After a 20 minute bus ride I arrived in Mikladalur to explore the biggest town on the island and visit the Kópakonan (Seal Woman) statue!
In the unfortunate series of events, the bus to from Mikladalur to Trøllanes never arrived so my adventure just got a bit more exciting! The hike to Kallur Lighthouse was something out of a fairytale, tall cliffs and I was greeted by friendly sheep hanging out in the pasture. That’s absolutely amazing. Those drone views seem unreal.
It was super scary for me since I never fly my drones that far out, especially over the ocean but it worked out in the end and I hope it added the scale and sheer size of this place for the viewers!

Great coverage Luke. I was there 2 weeks ago. Maybe I was a bit lukyer with the sun :) You could also mention that a 200 DKK / 27 € fee is required to access Kallur Lighthouse hike

I made this video quite some time ago before the fee went into effect. It was only recently that I discovered the 200DKK fee! I tried to do Klakkur that day but it was completely covered in fog:/ I will check out your video soon! Cheers!
Is there any fee you have to pay in order to do this hike?
No, there is not. You have to cross through a gate but this hike is free
