Bro, thank you so much for this video. This is my first big bike and this was the first time I've ever done a tail tidy install. Pretty sure I couldn't have done it without this video. Cheers!
@@KookoocaChew thanks for the feedback. That’s exactly what we aim for with these videos and hopefully it encourages you to do more on your bike down the track!
Just installed this on my 2024 MT-09 today. It looks great and everything fit perfectly. This video is one of the best installation vids I've ever seen. Thank you for a great product.
We have one on it's way! We have a lot of sound deadening in the room, but it still wasn't enough. We also have a remote monitor on the way to help set the focus a bit better as a few shots didn't come out as expected. It's a continual learning process and constant improvement for us and our film guy, who took this on without any prior experience.
No such thing as a dumb question! The OEM bolts will likely have some residual loctite on them from the original installation, however we don't believe it is necessary to add fresh loctite. Provided the bolts are sufficiently tightened it is highly unlikely they will ever undo themselves, and due to the minimal weight of the tail tidy the bolts are already oversized as it is! If you do however choose to use loctite, we would suggest using the lowest strength you can find, otherwise you will have a nightmare trying to get it back off (especially if you were to unseat the inserted threads).
@jandivinagracia3659 officially we state 10-20 days depending on locations and the flow of international traffic. Recently we have found stuff going to the US to be quite quick and taking around that 10-12 day mark.
Probably the hardest part of any install! We highly suggest letting the indicator bases sit in a mug of hot water for a while. This really helps make the install a lot easier.
@MustardBikes once I worked out the way it was easy, ensuring the acute end is set properly and can't slip out. Great kit, looks awesome thankyou for the video install!
@@jt3d867 if you have concerns with road spray your best bet is to stick with the OEM fender. No tail tidy on the market will provide road spray protection like the OEM fender will.
What was the design decision around the choice to mount it so high up? As an Australian I love supporting Australian companies (I have already got and installed your rear peg delete kit) but I can't bring myself to get the tail tidy because it mounts so high and feels like it obscures a portion of the taillight which looks a bit visually disharmonious to my eye.
To make it as short as possible while retaining clearance with the back wheel. If you go too short or too low you can risk interference with the back wheel at full suspension travel. The tail tidy does not interfere with the tail light itself and there is full visibility of the tail light from behind.
@@Telesk1er great to hear! That is a pretty good turn around to the US!. We generally advise 10-20 days depending on your exact location (obviously remote areas can take longer hence the large difference in time).
@@KjKase indeed. I do wonder if they might be from the earlier model? Or maybe they just fitted aftermarket ones. As mentioned they were fitted at the dealer, so we unfortunately don't know much about them.

@luci-vl6 did you go with the 186 mm option for US.

Might I suggest a lapel mic to improve the audio and remove the echo from the room for future videos.

why is the license plate at a 45 degree angle? Is it adjustable or something?
It is slightly less than 45 degrees, which is the maximum plate angle allowed for Australian Design rules.
