I can't disagree with you. What's even more frightening to me is, how much of the public is leading the charge to eliminate their own freedoms. That's how far we've fallen as a country, that people are so ready and willing to throw away their Constitutional rights in exchange for some nebulous promise of safety.
I remember all that too, and agree with your perspective. Here’s why it’s worse now. 1) General culture. At that time, the extremists are really a tiny tiny minority who needed to do outlandish actions to gain attention, because they were so few. The Capitol was bombed, BOMBED by a terrorist grouping of women. There was the Black Panther Shootout, the SLA shootout, bank robberies and some assassinations of even local leaders. But 99.9% of the population was horrified. There was still the ethos of MLK and the belief that, if you want change, his actions were the model. 2) We were still a very conservative culture socially. Hot pants and bikinis were a scandal. Women wore dresses. Over 50-60% of the population were in a worship service each weekend. Bishop Fulton Sheen and Billy Graham made regular appearances on the tonight show. Sunday morning TV had church services. Schools had religious Christmas programs. Colleges still had conservative teachers and there was a moral clause for public school teachers. I could go on, but it was a different world then. 3) Since that time Cultural Marxism has completely taken over the culture. Around 40-50% of Millennials think socialism is the answer. Because so few children grow up in intact homes, dependency on the government is far wider. The lockdown has beaten down the islands of self sufficiency and small community like local businesses and churches, and self help groups. 4) The idea of self sufficiency and community orientation is not a belief or a goal to aspire to. We have MUCH LESS Social Capital. 5) We may need an era of Hard Times to make Strong Men and Women again. I hope we can get there without losing our freedoms. The belief that The State is our caretaker is predominant now. That makes for weak people.
Whether it's scarier or not depends on how this ends and we probably won't know that until 2030. All of these assassinations ended with the Church committee hearings because it was so obvious to people that there were so many unanswered questions with how these killings took place and who the assassins were connected to. All of your series are simply awesome, I am working my way through your catalog as quickly as possible. As much as I have studied JFK, I knew very little of the RFK assassination other than seeing the video of it and the bare basics.
All I remember is my parents were not JFK fans but they had disdain for LBJ. In their later years they thought Bill Clinton was similar to LBJ in his career quest for power with empty promises.
Except Bill clinton has the complete opposite of " Jumbo" according to monica bluedress. According to monica, bill looks like he's always swimming in cold water.
@@timothymccarthy4704 Both LBJ and Bill Clinton involved themselves in Pappy Bush's subterfuges. LBJ went along with the killing of JFK and Pappy made sure they had the goods on him if the sh*t hit the fan. They got him to resign so their chief henchman, Nixon, could dump the War on Poverty and escalate and prolong the real money maker, the war in Vietnam. Clinton got rich letting Pappy sneak cocaine in to the Mena Arkansas Airport. Then pappy made sure that the money making cocaine was distributed primarily to the ghettoes starting the crack epidemic. With that money he was able to fund the reactionaries in Nicaragua to get rid of the socialistic Daniel Ortega. Can't allow a government out to help their people you know. Of course the CIA, meaning the Bush's, loves to use their former assets as scapegoats and will dispense with them when the time is ripe. For Clinton that meant exploiting his weakness for women. Monica was on camera flirting with him at speeches he made. She'd already gotten her art professor in trouble with his wife and his job when he had an affair with her. Do you think it a coincidence that Monica's "best friend" was an older woman, Linda Tripp, with CIA connections? Do you think it a coincidence that Tripp just happened to record Monica's tales about the semen stained dress and so on?

God I feel old, as I remember these events even though I was a kid when it happened. My parents are conservative, but even they had respect for the Kennedy family, even if they didn't agree with all their politics. Anyway, this brings back such memories! The bit about witnesses saying he fought like 10 men even though he was small--I've worked at race tracks, and I've accidently thrown jockeys clear across the other side of the horse, that's how small they prefer them. Not that they're not strong, but those guys restraining Sirhan were powerhouses compared to him. Anyway, this is fascinating, and I'm loving it--thank you both!

So excited to hear about this film! As having worked on lighting and fx work since 1986, very interested in assisting in some capacity. All the best, P
This is so deep. You have to wonder how all of this would have played out had it all occurred circa today with the advent of the social media communication capability that exists (this platform as an example). A TV set in every living room was the core infrastructure of the "information delivery system". It's really easy to filter the information and control the narrative when the channel is that monolithic. At some point there became this subconscious blind acceptance of the information that was being viewed or read (newspapers) as literally the gospel, not to be questioned, "it must be true because it's on the news". That was the mindset, and that mindset was well understood by the people controlling the horizontal and the vertical. It was really a ghost phenomenon because Joe citizen rarely engage in self awareness (still doesn't).\ So when you experience horrible stuff like the assassination of JFK, then RFK, you want to believe that these events were discrete murders perpetrated by lone wolves with extremist tendencies that resulted in murderous acts. That's a scenario that while troubling, doesn't shatter your sense of social stability. The minute it becomes apparent that there might be something more politically involved, and internally politically involved going on, that's the moment that you then have to watch the dominos fall possibly. Because if these assassinations were perpetrated by high ranking political figures, then you then have to ask what this whole idealism thing really means. You would then begin to question the ideals of justice, freedom, democracy. Becasue you can not stand for any of those ideal or represent them and also be engaged in that kind of political murder. It's scary stuff from that idealistic point of reference. And if true, renders everything we are supposed to stand for as invalid.
I’d be curious to know what you guys think about why Joe Kennedy didn’t put more pressure on both his sons, especially Robert to lay off the mob. It’s well known that Senior had connections to them and that he probably used them to help push his son into office as well as smuggling alcohol during prohibition. That being said I’m surprised, Jack seemed to know more than Robert about their mob ties but even still they both poked the bear a lot. Any thoughts on this???

I saw RFK on a campaign stop in my California hometown, just prior to the assassination. He was standing on a platform attached to the back of a car. As the car slowly drove by he was within 4 feet from where I was standing. I was able to look directly into his eyes. What I saw in his eyes was fear, profound fear. I will never forget that look.
Sirhan's gun was a starter's pistol. He was shooting blanks. Another shooter with a silenced .22 wrapped in a poster tube, was firing from a steam table behind Sirhan.
Some of the things you and Groubert talk about should scare the crap out of people. The circumstances surrounding RFK included. However, you need to draw a clear distinction between Sirhan being innocent, and being guilty of the RFK murder. He may be innocent of that only because he was a poor shot. He certainly managed to shoot several people that night, and that is not in dispute. That he didn't kill RFK or anyone else is just luck. That seems to get lost in the conspiracy discussion. Now as to who actually did kill RFK, that is another matter, which you guys ably discuss. Thanks for this channel.

i was there then , and the main reason johnson didn't run again was because the young people { hippies } were giving him so much s$it on the war in vietnam ,there was the beginnings of wide spread sit-ins, kent state readily comes to mind but that was a little later i believe , he was also widely unpopular because most people saw him for the two-faced ass he was and already there were " conspiracy theories " murmuring about his role in the jfk assasination, . in short he was catching hell from all sides and bobby was a shoe-in for the presidency because of the loss of jfk .

All of your series are simply awesome, I am working my way through your catalog as quickly as possible. As much as I have studied JFK, I knew very little of the RFK assassination other than seeing the video of it and the bare basics.
@Detective Grubert: Your investigative skills are just INCREDIBLE!!!! 😮💯
Great show as always!
Glad you enjoy it!
How LBJ could ask a woman whose husband has just been murdered at her side to stand with him tells one everything to know about LBJ.
YES,I thought it was disgusting that Johnson did that to Mrs.Kennedy.
Thanks Eric for your interviews. This us my favorite channel on youtube your interviews with Mark. Its captivating.
All I remember is my parents were not JFK fans but they had disdain for LBJ. In their later years they thought Bill Clinton was similar to LBJ in his career quest for power with empty promises.
The real crime family was named Bush.
LBJ didn't even run for reelection. One of the least 'power mad" presidents in American history.
Bobby booted Marcello to central America. Carlos came back later. Roselli, what was left of him was found in an oil drum off the coast of Florida.
Congressman Albert Thomas winked at LBJ during the swearing in ceremony- not Carl Albert.
Brilliant and detailed setup to the next episodes. Well done!
This is one my go to channels now
Another great show.
Great video and great channel!!!! I actually began my LE career with the USSS at the WH twenty-eight years ago. Since that time, my eyes have been opened wide with disappointment at what my country has become. I was always suspicious of my government, but I really had absolutely no idea as to the depths to which the abject corruption had become entwined throughout all three branches of our once great nation.
It is heartbreaking! I stopped believing after the 60s.
Add another great podcast to u guys. Love it
Great show. Thank you gentlemen.
Interesting! Looking forward to the next part.
I LOVE THESE 2 GUYS!!
Walter Kronkite should have been arrested for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
Bobby, you are missed. I'm 77 and was lucky enough to shake your hand. 6-6-68 you were gone.
LBJ you are an ah. LBJ was responsible for the death of JFK.
Me too! Long Beach CA ‘68. May he RIP. Got to shake his hand.
exactly!!
WOW! How did I just discover this channel?
God I feel old, as I remember these events even though I was a kid when it happened. My parents are conservative, but even they had respect for the Kennedy family, even if they didn't agree with all their politics. Anyway, this brings back such memories! The bit about witnesses saying he fought like 10 men even though he was small--I've worked at race tracks, and I've accidently thrown jockeys clear across the other side of the horse, that's how small they prefer them. Not that they're not strong, but those guys restraining Sirhan were powerhouses compared to him. Anyway, this is fascinating, and I'm loving it--thank you both!
I have an off track horse!
Always wanted to work at the track. They all closed around me.
Jocks are really strong, but tiny.
@@Cherokee51774 How cool, how long have you had him? Is he/she flighty or fairly calm? My Dad purchased an ex-cutting horse for me when I was in my early teens--he was a great horse but a real handful. Most of the racehorses I experienced were high-strung, but I know a lot of them wash-out, sometimes for lack of competitiveness and drive. Anyway, thumbs-up.
You had mentioned Johnson and Kennedy meeting at the 1960 DNC in Los Angeles to accept the VP Nomination at the Ambassador hotel. It was actually at the Sports Arena. Old teacher I knew Dr. Gaulderon told me he saw the face on Johnson’s face after accepting the VP Nomination, and it was complete hatred and dislike, I never forgot that.
great program !!!
I would love to see them do an episode on the two German men who robbed a bank and left on foot blazing away with machine guns as they casually walked thru a crowd of police men. That was a very strange case which was almost surreal and would make a great show if they haven’t already covered it!
Please post more details: where?, when? Etc.
The CIA content you have is always amazing. Just saw Oliver Stone's JFK cause of your channel. Amazing flick.
What a great team! I predict this channel is going to grow quickly! BTW Mark, I watched what I think is your last interview with Dr. Drew. I was going to make a comment but so many others had already made the comments I was thinking. You should read them. Just keep on doing those interviews and your audience will grow like crazy. LOL Dr. Drew reminded me of an old saying, "Hire a teenager while he still knows everything."
Ha! Thanks Cherie. Mg.
Conspiracy _theories_ should be called conspiracy _hypotheses._
Two things please Eric: Any chance Groubert will address NIXON ?
And whether watergate was the scandal it was made out to be?
Also ... what's he think of Adam Curtis (century of the self, etc)
The amazing Oliver Stone should make a movie about the RFK assassination as well. I would definitely see that.
Great episode 👏👏👏👏
So excited to hear about this film!
As having worked on lighting and fx work since 1986, very interested in assisting in some capacity.
All the best,
P
It was really a ghost phenomenon because Joe citizen rarely engage in self awareness (still doesn't).\
So when you experience horrible stuff like the assassination of JFK, then RFK, you want to believe that these events were discrete murders perpetrated by lone wolves with extremist tendencies that resulted in murderous acts.
Jumbo the man the myth the Johnson.
Great Show and Content guys
Political History 101
Class is in session
Everything I thought was true ..Is a lie..Thank-You for the enlightment...
Thanks for watching!
Really good show thanks🙏
This is the True American Horror Story, LBJ is the Ultimate Boogie Man in American History
Mark did not discuss the direction of the bullets. RFK was hit in the back of the head, Sirhan was in front of RFK.
Mark is an idiot.
These guys are working to keep the official stories alive instead of the truth. Sometimes they allow the truth to escape.
I love this Mark guy!
He didn't get a chance. Joe Bonannos'son Bill said that Joe went to Joe Kennedy about this. He was to see his sons within a couple of weeks. He had a stroke before that he never recovered from.
@@jackzaccardi1896 right on. Bill Bonanno talks about the meeting between Joe Kennedy and Bonanno. Kennedy was waiting for the boys to come to Hyannis port. He had the stroke and never recovered
@@markhibber8371 Joe Kennedy was incapacitated by a stroke on December 19, 1961, 11 months after JFK's inauguration.
I recall reading that there was a Christmas dinner where Joe begged the boys not to go to war with the mob.
Link says 5 replied but only 2 show up. 3 spicy replies are being hidden.
Interesting. Why do you think? Do you think he knew the guns were out for hum?
Are MkUltras to be held responsible for their actions?
The key thing is that he is in prison with the death penalty that was then reverted to life when he didn't actually shoot and kill anyone.
Good question @D Soule.
Meanwhile, skipping merrily out of the same prisons , thousands of actual killers , mother rapers, father stabbers.
Father rapers!

i was there then , and the main reason johnson didn't run again was because the young people { hippies } were giving him so much s$it on the war in vietnam ,there was the beginnings of wide spread sit-ins, kent state readily comes to mind but that was a little later i believe , he was also widely unpopular because most people saw him for the two-faced ass he was and already there were " conspiracy theories " murmuring about his role in the jfk assasination, . in short he was catching hell from all sides and bobby was a shoe-in for the presidency because of the loss of jfk .
thanks good one
Why would the woman in the polka dot dress, his handler, yell “we killed him?” That is very unhandler like. You’d never catch Ruth Paine losing her cool like that!
The clean up like the end of Goodfellas. Kennedy was a fool to think he wasn't a target. He and his brother screwed over too many people, I'm actually surprised Ted was allowed to keep breathing
Great videos chock full of obscurity-erasing information. Just one question. Is there a brush or comb in-studio?
How bout that beard tubby? LOL
@@AmericasUntoldStories Touché. Keep up the great work. What’s wrong with my beard? You got the tubby part right. Every time I tie a shoe I get reminded!!! 😂🤪😜🤣☮️
Or some hair gel or hairspray!
Thank you overlords for telling me what I should believe with the context box
The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club is in Del Mar, California. Desi Arnez was a huge part of it.
According to Dan Pena, Manny Pena’s , son, Manny was also involved in coercion and interrogation tactics.
Eugene Cesar shot RFK in the back of the head at Point blank range , RFK sealed Autopsy.
The hired security guard, allegedly, was the person who put the killer bullet in behind RFK's right ear while Sirhan was on the steam table.
Great show guys! Love from Georgia.
LBJ quit when he realized Garrison's investigation in New Orleans could unravel the JFK assassination
I interviewed Ted Charach in 2005 at his apartment in West Hollywood/Santa Monica. He was aged and ailing, but still sharp as a tack. He agreed with my assessment that the same people who killed JFK also killed RFK and that the very same people were currently still in power as we spoke.
Mark and Eric, I have 3rd hand info on the Sirhan story that ropes in Pocadot Lady and the other guy. It's relevant and speaks to the MK angle.
What about the armed uniformed man that was right next to or just behind RFK? I remember a theory that he may have shot him in the back of his head.
Thanks for great story,s about the Kennedy,s. Can,t wait for the next episode,s learn a lot , greetings from holland 🇳🇱
LETS HIT THAT LIKE GUYS!👍👍👍👍👍
Is there a complete and honest biography of Lyndon Johnson? He sounds like a psychopath. Hearing RFK speak makes me feel so sad about what was lost when he was killed. RFK died the day I graduated from high school.
@@rongenung robert Caro. Five volumes.
Damn, I listen to the Kennedy’s obviously democrats and I look now and say what the hell happened to the democrats. Smdh
Oh my goodness,,
So much went on after JFK assassination that it is unbelievable history, 😢
I don't know how these wicked people could sleep at night, 😢
Why is it that most of the Presidents have a mistress or multiple ones? I would bet that the majority of powerful politicians do.
Utoobe takes half of every superchat
Did you guys do the Marilyn Monroe coverup yet?
People like Hoover should never be in positions of power because they were to easy to comprimise! Use to anyway, now its a plus!
My grandmother always said she swore LBJ was behind it; from day one
How did Johnson get away with killing two of the most beloved men in history? How did he get to live out his years until his heart attack??
How come nobody saw Cesar shoot Kennedy when everybody saw sirhan shoot? Seems strange. Can they go into this issue?
Following the science.
Starting this episode after watching the Gilbert Gottfried tribute piece here at 3:20am. I've come to the current belief Robert was actually killed by accident by his body guard (Lane?) in the back of the ear as he was trying to return fire on Sirhan and RFK got knocked in front of the gunfire? I know for sure this was NOT the story we were told. Shocking I know. Looking forward to this. I'm probably in for some surprises.
No, that’s dumb.
His bodyguard was a CIA operative.
Re: 14:30. No, LBJ was never Speaker of the House.
I keep wondering if it LBJ or Hoover who were responsible for the killing of RFk.
WHEN WE FIRST STARTED HEARING THE STORIES ABT LBJ'S BEHAVIOR; WE IMMEDIATELY SAID, "THAT GUY HAD SOME MENTAL PROBS":. BIPOLAR, MANIC.........
A REAL PSYCHO. 😎.
The mind control aspect of this series sounds like a Jolly West operation
March 16, 1968 is also the day of the My Lai Massacre.
38:40 LBJ's speech here is a "head fake". First he's talking about how he will devote all his time to being president, and then says "I'm out".

I dont see the rest of the vids from the rk assassination series on the play list. I found 2 of them randomly on youtube.
Definitely need to bring up that Rafer Johnson took the pistol home...doesn't matter that it sounds insane its true... also rafer Johnson wanted to keep it then he negotiated a deal...then he gave it to LA cops...nobody really know what pistol was used or ballistics
