As far as no other witnesses "seeing" another gunman, that only proves they didn't SEE another gunman, not that there WASN'T another gunman, while the sheer number of rounds fired PROVES there was a second gunman.
Sirhan did an interview with David Frost in 1989 in which he explained his motive. He was very angry with Robert Kennedy and with the American people for support of Israel against the Palestinians. Specifically, he was angry that Kennedy had promised to give the Israeli's jets. In light of this, the idea he was a hypnotized "Manchurian candidate" seems kind of far fetched. More likely, he was recruited and needed some liquid courage to go through with it, which also might have caused him to botch the job. Great series. Great hosts. Regarding the Richard Goodwin story of intending to resign from the White House to take up a teaching assignment. LBJ force Goodwin to refuse the teaching assignment and stay on in the White House (in servitude to the monster LBJ). My question is: If Goodwin resigns, how can LBJ force him to stay on? To do anything once the man resigns? Another unflattering story about Goodwin: Goodwin calls Ben Bradlee, the editor of New York magazine (I think) and rages to Bradlee about some story published in the magazine. Apparently Goodwin peppers his ragings with constant reminders that Goodwin is with the White House. Bradlee interrupts him by saying if Goodwin would put his complaints in writing, on White House letterhead, the magazine would publish it in full. And hangs up. They never hear from Goodwin again.
