It's a̶n̶c̶i̶e̶n̶t̶ g̶e̶r̶u̶d̶o̶ m̶a̶g̶i̶c̶ a bug that involves performing Ganon's no-impact-land through a platform, then holding veeeerrrry slightly forward on the control stick. He normally advances to his standing pose within a few frames, but making him start his slow walk cycle bugs it out for reasons I don't fully understand (presumably some kind of animation override similar to how the koopabackdashhoverwalkmoonland thing works). It's usually pretty fast and subtle, but I spent a while perfecting this and I'm fairly certain this is the theoretical maximum amount you can cause Ganon to do.

Rad as hell. The double jump characters really do have the sauce don't they!! Super creative. I was particularly happy with how you were able to give Kirby's a dope ending! Love seeing some love for the lower tier melee characters!

@@SsbMewtwo I know that flame cancel happens when landing. Notice the green splash effect that popped up right before Bowser started breathing fire. That texture appears when you hit the ground and miss a tech. It looks like some weird slideoff happened with Bowser getting pushed off the cloud and landing back on it instantly. Again, though, that only matters 1.0, because Bowser lost flame canceling in 1.02.
Not enough of a bowser head to say for sure, but this is filmed on 20XX 4.07 which is based on melee 1.02. I’m guessing it’s either because it was a powershield instant neutral B, or because he was descending on Randall (though I don’t think his neutral b stalls momentum or moves his ECB up). He definitely had to go through the full endlag though, it might just look shorter because I did 2f shield drop double jump instead of 8f regular jump to grab ledge.
@@smokedem Well normally neutral b has 23 frames of startup, which Bowser certainly did not go through, looked closer to 3. Not sure what mechanic would erase the startup animation aside from a flame cancel. My knowledge of powershield mechanics is lacking, so the explanation may lie there. The endlag looked normal, no questions there.
Oh, the startup might be because I had to splice frames together there due to frame drop issues with the initial TAS recording. If you go frame by frame you’ll see one frame that’s a little fuzzy where I overlaid clip A and clip B onto each other and set them both to 50% opacity. It should have two extra frames of startup as a result though, but I could’ve fucked up the splice and dropped some frames (or recording B also had dropped frames I didn’t notice). Either that or powershield shenanigans lol. I’m curious now so when I’m back home I’ll count the frames in the actual recording and see what happened.
@@DreamcastSoupYT B&D games has a basic tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/UJSkjSbWsbo/w-d-xo.html I have vague plans to make a very comprehensive tutorial somewhere in the future but for now there's not really a central repo for knowledge outside of their video.
The Luigi clip is definitely towards the "specific technique showcase" end of the spectrum. I do wanna point out that the first bair is platform-cancel-edge-canceled, meaning it functionally put out a hitbox with 2 frames of endlag and no displacement. Those saved frames are instrumental in getting the second bair via vududash.
what's that thingy at 1:28 that Gannon does on platform

The Kirby Falco laser was DIRTY
Its crazy that the yoshi clip looks like Amsa. Dude IS tas
That's the only reason why yoshi ranked highwr in the tier list.
When has amsa ever done that shit lol?
@@m2dauffin2last weekend lol. He just had a more optimal combo that leads to death.
@@m2dauffin2 literally like a week ago
This was awesome. I especially love how the Game & Watch combo used the 8 Hammer and didn't predictably end with a 9
Finally, I think about what Samus could do in a TAS once a day for the past like 10 years and I finally get to see someone do it
You could make it to.
I had no idea frame perfect dash dancing on DK is a seizure in place. Eye opening stuff
nice dab at 3:24. +1 for style points
This is one of the most creative combo videos I've ever seen. 10/10

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Your Link vids were among those I watched to get info/inspiration for the combos you see here :)
great combos, great music, great work. just love it
So much I could say, but this was fucking awesome. Always love seeing niche tech and glitches and can't wait for what's next!
Hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥 @4:31
there's no coming back from that mentally if you see an opponent doing that
yoshi TAS looking like AMSA on full throttle haha fun vid
now this is art ❤❤❤
This reminds me of the old epiceasy tas videos. I absolutely love it!
2:43 the shield push off into the platform flame cancel is insane
Kirby main here, and I love fighting Falco. If he had lasers all the time Kirby would be B tier, it opens so many doors
aaaaaaaah fuuuck, I always dreamt about ending a cool Young Link combo with wall jump aerial into a boomerang but you did it before me!
Doesn't stop you from still doing it, follow your dreams 🙂
@ of course! 💪🏻☺️
good lord this is beautiful
whole thing was absolutely nasty, great stuff
1:04 amsa would be proud.
I wasn't afraid of AI until I saw young link drink milk on him mid combo. It's over for us boys
What in God's name happened to Gannon at 1:29
I haven’t heard this song in forever
The Bowser one was very sick
Made the Pikachu one is just nutty
🎉🎉🎉🎉
sick nasty
someone who used F-air and PA on Pichu :)
Looks like the young link i run into on ranked lol
2:44 was this made in melee 1.0? Because that looked like a flame cancel, which Bowser definitely doesn't have in 1.02.
nah flame cancel is only when landing with neutral b
