The Vulkan mod replaces the old OpenGL renderer to the modern Vulkan renderer, but this may cause a problem for shaders since OpenGL uses GLSL for shaders, while Vulkan also uses it it needs to be modified a bit to work.
@@ham2thedan read the starlight mod page, it says it themselves that its now obsolete on the client side due to 1.20 making the lighting a lot more efficient to the point that there is no need for the mod anymore
so what mods would you recommend for someone trying to play with Biomes o plenty on forge? theres a bunch on the description, with some being better than others and some not working on forge, so i cant really decide specifically which one to use
I play on my premium account now but. Tlauncher has an option where you can launch your version with optifine and forge. Pair that up with sodium. Your gonna get lots of fps 😄

they are all exclusive, I would just use fabric for now because vulkan doesn't support many mods and doesn't actually improve performance by a huge amount
I'm a huge fan of Distant Horizons; it's a client-side mod so you can use it in vanilla Minecraft. At the time of typing this it isn't out for 1.20 yet. Alpha is just bc it's still early in development but definitely useable and playable.

For larger forge modpacks i like to use Embedium which has better mod compatibility than rubidium. For fabric Sodium is my go to. Thanks for the list.

Another Option for 1.12.2: CensoredASM. Incompatibile with Vanillafix and Other mods but It is meant to be greater than those mods.
70% ram usage out of 32 gb 281 mods i have all fps mods most of them but my 500 mods 1.16.5 still uses less ram

Optifine is better with old versions like 1.16, but Sodium is better for the Latest versions because they're optimized poorly

Optioned didn't increase my fps but sodium did... Now the issue is when I play with shaders the fps drops again
