- Minecraft's performance just got a HUGE upgrade. This mod allows you to get 100x the FPS at INSANE render distances such as 128 and 256. The mods name? Nvidium.

few things I didn't mention:
- Nvidium only works with *Nvidia GPUS*
- Nvidium requires a GTX 1630 and higher

256 chunks is 4x as many as 128, because it's 128/256 in every direction, and it's squared, 128x128 is 16,384 total chunks, 256x256 is 65,536 total chunks, that's why it didn't fit in your vram, even a 4090 wouldn't be enough, you'd need at least 48gb, and for 512 render distance you'd need like half a tb of vram since that would be 262,144 total chunks (for reference 32 render distance is 1024 total chunks)

Yeah, but it would also be cool if it could be combined with VulkanMod to benefit from both Vulkan and better compatibility.

@@fabiandrinksmilk6205unfortunately it isn't possible. OpenGL and Vulkan are 2 completely different renderers, it's the same reason why the Vulkan mod can't be used with a lot of other mods.

I feel you. I'm on my second second-hand laptop now. My original was too old to run anything newer than 1.16, got a Fatal Error code trying to run 1.17+
Still mostly play 1.16 on my new (to me) laptop because the newer versions are worse even with performance mods

I truly recommend running Minecraft on Linux, my performance exceeds 60% compared to Windows
7:45 you load more than double the chunks when you double your render distance though.
You should use nvindium and distant horizons at the same time, it's a better combination
Distant Horizons uses fake chunks. Bobby uses real chunks. And Bobby can use way more chunks.
Use all 3.

Nividum for the 128 - 256 and DH for everything beyond that at that point, like up to 312 - 512 chunks out LODS really are just better for your pc atp
I don't know which version he tested, but when I used Distant Horizons, I was able to configure the quality of the chunks and it was almost imperceptible @@RaziMemeGod

Guiny!!! Btw our 4070 ti’s are being with a ti super variant, FOR THE SAME RELEASE PRICE AS THE 4070 TI. Higher core counts higher everything, and rather than only having 12gb of VRAM, it has 16 GB of VRAM

Minecraft is a type of game that can scare Quantum Computers
I used Distant Horizons mod for literal 5 seconds, because as soon as I loaded the game my game crashed - It's propably good for someone with a RTX4090 or smth like that. But something Important you should know, I still have a good graphicts card, which lets me run minecraft with 900 FPS lowest. Sometimes it rises up to 2000. And that It crashed that quick is just insane.
It crashes because of incompatibilities not because it is a very heavy mod.

when they add shader support to this, Im instantly gonna install it. For now though Im gonna be staying with distant horizons for shaders though
I use a combo of C2ME, Nvidium, Distant Horizons, and Bobby, personally
Theres also apparently a multi threading mod which should (for obvious reasons) make performance WAY better, and vulkan mod which ports the game to the vulkan engine which is way newer than Minecrafts opengl. I havent tried the multithreading one yet but ive tried vulkan and its amazing.
What mod are you using for your video settings tab? as I have seen it before and it looks much better and useful than the regular UI.

What exactly is the point of NOT capping your fps at the max from your screen?
Its cool to see high frames, also reduces input latency but that doesn't matter too much if you play casually

how do i use nvidium with shaders though, it auto disables saying it disabled due to shaders being loaded

How many FPS with a modded fps counter? Minecrafts tanks fps.
@guiny you have to remember that the debug menu when you open it also has about 100 fps or more time limit no idea why but it happens unfortunately so you should get a real fps counter for something like that

distant horizons can now do 500 chunks and you can actually have shaders, i looks the same unless your zooming into it
Wondering how 128 chunks with shaders still upheld at 30fps minimum for me with regular optifine no other adjustments, and I am using a 5 year old computer with only like 10-12 max GB of RAM being used for all of that?
When I put the mod right at the beginning I see everything with the texture that the distant horizons give you in the distance, and that makes me know that the mod does not work for me and yes, I have it in the same version, I changed from forge to fabric and I even left the mod alone, installed the most current version of Java 8, updated drivers and it still doesn't work

4:31 actually no. Nvidium stores chunks in the vram (which makes the game a bit smoother because you have more free ram) and mesh shaders gives the performance boost. Mesh shaders are more powerful on some computers and less on others so technically it depends on your type of mesh shader for higher render distances
when Guiny's 1024 chunks is getting better fps then me on 8 chunks.

you're forgetting Bedrock's issues... generation in bedrock is probabaly the worst, it's not optimised at all, running on 10 fps, and even chunks are disappearing because ''hey, the player isn't supposed to see them'', but i see them because textures don't want to load
I mean like 32 chunks renderdistance works completely fine for me

I tried this mod, earlier my gt 730 with i5 12400f was doing hardly 12 chunks, now it's doing 32 chunks no problem

Bedrock edition does pretty well with 96 chunks (without mods)
As soon as he showed the nvidium fps , he changed his graphics settings to fast from fancy and thought we wouldn't norice
this was a mistake! it happened because my nvidium is on a different .minecraft and had slightly different settings.
