- We’re creating foliage from the inspiring tropical rainforests of Hawaii! Join Environment Artist’s Sarah Scruggs, Genevieve Gagnon and Mira Pichai as they craft a personally sourced tree from a real-world setting.

hello guys, I've got an issue that I need help with in Speedtree. How do I make the wind animation come on after importing an object I exported out of Speedtree into CInema 4D, I've tried running the cinema 4D script Speedtree comes with and still nothing
You'll need to select wind on export and make sure you've got wind on in the sequence timeline if you're sending out an alembic export. We're happy to help if you need to reach us at support@speedtree.com!
hello, i have a question , the cinema trees from the library have de growth animation??
Our cinema trees can be set with a growth animation, but none of them come with it out of box. Just switching it on works for most trees but you'll need to tweak timing and sequence amounts.

There are so few tutorials showing how to make leaves and bark for a Speedtree. All of them simply export leaves and bark. Why not show the process of creating, for example, all the textures for the bark to be used in the Speedtree?😟🥺😭
My dude, speedtree is generator and this is youtube, nobody give u that deep learning about 3d foliage without paying them, go and assign cource or class somewhere.
But if u really want the "free" stuff, i recommend to go deep not just search one and then go boom like surender. Anyway this is where i get the concept of making foliage.
Leaf and bark can be done using 4 methods:
1. Sculpting (ZBrush)

2. Photogrammetry (RealityCapture)

There's no place to find here about 3d foliage process from 0 - complete asset, but u can take part workflow from individual video.
if u have money, this guy ADRIEN PAGUET-BRUNELLA the one u need to search. All that method that i mention is included there, he know what he's doing.

This page will focus more on using the SpeedTree program, although we teach a lot about retexturing and reuse of leaves inside of SpeedTree, you may want to check out other environment artist's channels for texture creation. Gnomon has a great course for environments that includes texturing in the mix.
