I would like to recomend vegetarian option in east java, it's Pecel. Mostly it's like peanut sauce salad. Some vendors will add meat option but you can choose tempe.

And YES. it is the right way to eat rawon, you mix it with rice, you should try it with salted egg. Its complement the rawon.
