Changing the guard, says exactly what it does. Not marching band changing of the guard. You must be pretty thick not to understand that.
Lovely video, nice and crisp. But may I put in a request that you give the date of the occasion you film please? I realise you posted it today, but as Senior Drum Major Chambers was leading the band in Windsor today you cannot have filmed it today. Just a tad confusing 😬 Apart from that, thank you for sharing👍

We want to let you know that a lot of work goes into each upload - from planning and filming to producing, editing, and finally uploading. The Army is having an Expo at Wellington Barracks. The Drill Square was unavailable for inspection of the Guard Detachment or the Band, so they just left straight from the Barracks. SDM Gareth Chambers MVO has had a busy time, he's already done the Windsor Castle Guard Change this morning!
Windsor Castle Guard change is not on the same day as London
Windsor is Tuesday ,Thursday and Saturday
London is Sunday Monday Wednesday and Friday
They are both 11AM at the Palace or Castle . So THESE wouldn't have done both
Hello Vicky my friend, all ok? This is the second video I watch today with SDM Chambers, the Changing Guard in Windsor and this one. Too busy our SDM, always impeccable! Tomorrow we expect a ceremony for the 2nd anniversary of Queen Elisabeth and Accession of King Charles; as we lookers are many, have booked a long sofà!! Have a nice weekend!
@@avrilskinner5983 My apologies, I didn't make myself clear. This is the 2nd Guard change Video loaded today, but is as you rightly point out, not the actual change on that day & not Performed on the same day. If the various Channels were to actually show the date a Guard Change was done, instead of just noting how many hours since it was uploaded or performed, it would make things easier & most of the well established ones do. I get asked a lot of questions & it's not always easy to work out which Guard Change they're referring to. So I go buy the hours Loaded.

Yes indeed, SDM Chambers MVO is always a Busy Man, I remember a year ago, they had the Coronation in May, a massive Logistical Undertaking, then trooping the Colour in June & all the Rehearsals, then The Musical Spectacular, the Garter Ceremony, the Guards Polo Championship, 2 State Visits, the Opening of Parliament, various Regimental Memorials, other Memorials & Cavalry Sundays, not to mention the Guard Changes & GC was involved in all of it.
Do you know the Special Connection between the March "Blue Plume" & The Band of the Irish Guards? The March was Composed by Cecil Harry "Jiggs" Jaegar circa 1949. He was the well respected & loved Director of Music for The Irish Guards from 1949 until 1968. He had an extensive & highly renowned Music Career from 1927 - his death in 1970, encompassing every Facet of Brass Banding & Military Music. His March Blue Plume was composed for his Irish Guards & is widely accepted as The Regiment's Unofficial Regimental March. The Band of the Irish Guards play it with an equal amount of Passion & Reverence in memory of their Former Director of Music. I find it one of the few very emotional Marches when played by The Band.

People, I have a question: who is the commander of the guard and how do the ranks work?
It’s called the household division and it’s part of the British army.
Seems like the most of them wearing bigger belts this year?
Heard somewhere most of them were replaced after Trooping the Colour 2024 because the rain had damaged them
There are really fat gaurds there, you wouldn't of seen this in the 60s and 70s
And really short as well
