I never did this sport but anyone who does has my respect. These guys receive and deliver devastating shots with 0 protection yet they both seem completely unfazed.
And if you train Muay Thai, you'll be an unstoppable beast. Respect for karate and judo practitioners either way, each martial art has something to offer!
The "Mas" way is brutal and a short span of power. Unlike American competition, judges here dont stop to award points. No padding no gear...these guys are tough...but I have seen them in their 50's and all were tired and beat up from a few years of greatness in their 20's.
Each sport made professionally will wear you up. But in this sport you have no huge money, so you cannot afford a whole team of experts to heal you, you must do it with head. Kyokushin changed a bit now, there are less damaging excercises so you can do it whole life.
this way more better than the karate tournament where they have to jump and do norminated movements, kyoukushin doesnt have that the things we do is fight not jump and punches like a weak
judd reid has run tournaments with these guys in it. My trainer has fought the bigger dude and beat him a few years ago, but yeah that guy from Sydney does the rolling thunders pretty good
@James Young What a ridiculous comparison, Sensei Russo and Reid are world class fighters, legends in the sport. If your going to compare, effort and spirit would be more of a balance.
@@Ronin-tp4vx both are mates of mine. I trained with Frank under sensei ishi. And under Frank when ishi sensei went back to Japan. What i am getting at is the standard in Australia is down. I think to many dojo operators are not interested in pushing their students. How can we be called the strongest karate now. Gary placed 4th in 95. When will we produce another like him.

This is Kyokushin my friend
They’re getting hurt no doubt but they just tank it till after the match
Well done Nathan the hard training you have been doing is now showing its rewards. Osu
When I started training under sensei ishi in the early 90s in Sydney it was quite common for guys to get knocked out in the dojo.
its crazy to think that if he didnt block that kick he’d probably be on the ground unconscious
bruises the next day must be crazy
don't worry, they tend to connect together and you have only one ;)
I thought the leg kicks might work for red , he needs to work on that trading punches with someone that much heavier needs an innovative strategy .
Its very stronger karate very nice from Mauritius sanyasi veer singhji
Might as weel be the closest we got to the all valley

Train kyokushin karate and judo, then you will be a monster
Kudo is an actual martial art

Are edge of hand strikes allowed in these tournaments ?
Yes, you can devastate your hands in all possible ways:)
That was pretty cool 😎 good job guys
One of best fight i never see

When I trained 130 years ago under the great master "god" we use to always eat after sparing....
Sorry I been hit in the head a lot
I hate that like TKD, they keep their hands low. Should keep the guard up at all times.
No
I mean, kyokushin is it’s own sport, and in that sport they don’t need to keep their hands up at all times
Osu!
all he could do were taekwondo spinning side kicks...
Low standards. These guys would get killed up against the frank Russo's and judd reid just to name a couple. Knocked out under 30 seconds.

Of course Shihan Reid is awesome. That's why Nathan is training hard under him.
Poor fighter low skills:(
Thank god there is MMA
nah they have skills they jus cant aim for the face with their hands lml would be betta to give them gloves so they can

Then beginner Nak Muay enter the game punch everyone in the head and is champion. Kyokushin is a joke!
There have been plenty of k1/glory champions with a kyokushin base including Rico Verhoeven, glory’s current heavyweight champion
