    Discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago, and I want to say thank you for your thoughtful insight and clear explanation of what financial independence truly is. Your content is timely for my husband and me as we have reached financial independence recently and are now transitioning to full retirement within the next year or so. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with those of us coming along behind you. Thank you again!

    Excellent - love the clarity of your presentation - we all know this and have heard/read about it, but sounds better when someone who has been there and done that is narrating it !

    I am working on FIRE, initially I target 25 times of yearly expenses ( I’m yet to achieve that). But I think you need some buffer and now I feel that one should target 50 time of yearly expenses to plan for lifestyle changes and medical expenses in later years of your life.

    • @TheFIREdCouple
      @TheFIREdCouple  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Do watch the video ‘Die with Zero’ where I address this multiplier. Typically 25x would be risky indeed while 50x could have too much buffer. However, it also depends on the age, portfolio split, taxes, retirement location, legacy for children etc etc.

    Hi Yogiji, ur videos are thought provoking, mnsure these 20 min videos are taking 20 days of thinking atleast.. my only worry is, I am watching in bits and pieces.. I think it might be worthwhile to put in certain sequence, and then make it like playlist1, playlist2..
    Also, I do see other videos on similar topic, but they sound excel ans Maths.. whereas , ur videos, again, highly thought provoking and highly practical, that I can relate to..
    Getting such content free 😅, and giving you Thank You, only , in return..

    I am 34-year-old man with twin daughters & when I was 27 years old, I was drowning in close to 20lakh of debt with no job and I use to wonder how I am going to make it through. Today, I have a good car, a plot of land, beautiful family and working toward creating corpus for retirement with all debt sorted. Your video reminded me that how ungrateful I become of my reality.

    Global gyaan! We would be better served by sharing your experience and actual numbers. This BS there is so much content available.

    • @TheFIREdCouple
      @TheFIREdCouple  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No worries if you find this BS. To each his own.
      As for numbers, there are many videos available that throw out a lot of numbers. Also, not sure how our number (or anyone else’s for that matter) will help your journey, as that is based on your personal circumstances (do watch this short video - th-cam.com/users/shortsp0kLL3BaOA4?si=_YqumIh6oS-Yt-dP).
      As for our experience, you will find that in many of our videos.
      Hope that helps.

    • @tgsk2000
      @tgsk2000 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It would be quite useful if you share your experiences instead of generalising and giving conceptual frameworks. You have been there done that. Bring that to the fore.

    • @TheFIREdCouple
      @TheFIREdCouple  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well, most of the videos are all our not just concepts but practical experiences that can help others. Be it our bucket strategy, withdrawal rate, sequence of returns, diversification strategy, passive income streams etc.
      Also we try to share how we have evaluated our retirement location, how we made our selection, initial experiences, lessons, learnings as well as expenses.
      If someone is looking for a magic number then it could be a wrong channel as we would refrain from that. Our number can be misleading for someone else as their number has to be based on their circumstances. The frameworks would definitely help there.
