Yes, this worked well for our G37s. I did the same thing to the driver side a few years ago and it is still holding up great. The best way to pinpoint the exact location of the leak is to do a water hose test. If your car is leaking at the same area near the side mirrors, this will fix the issue. We didn’t notice any wind noise from the window during acceleration. I am thinking the door seal gap was very small just enough for water to drip inside. Let me know if you have any issues with your repair. Try to fix it soon. If you wait too long, electronics start acting up. I had a power window switch go bad from too much water in the vehicle. Corrosion on the terminals.

I just came up on this issue on my driver side and the water got to the fuse box
