ChatGPT actually can play chess, and it's better than me. But to play chess properly, it must be constantly given the state of the game. So every move, send it the PGN. If you do not constant remind it of the state of the game, it will forget. Then it will make invalid moves because it doesn't know the state of the game.
OK I'll make another video. Although, if it is claiming to play chess, and it's an autoregressive model, it should be using the whole conversation. Not so intelligent after all.
