I get blasters are the main thing for Star Wars but I really wouldn't mind seeing more slug throwers in later titles. Something like the large coil and rail weapons of Halo could probably fit somewhere in the universe.
The array gun was so much fun to use in Republic Commando. That first part of the Acclimator level where you just run around killing Trandoshans was so much fun to do with the array gun. Also, y’all forgot to mention the Relby V10, utilized by Bossk and pictured in like half the artwork shown.
The Separatists: flimsy and cheap E-5 blasters which are often used by clones in a few episodes Also Separatists: their allies had some of the most unique weapons in "Star Wars"
It makes sense why they would arm their droids with cheap blasters, after all their strategy was to overwhelm the Republic with mass produced army of droids, doesn't make sense to arm them with something far more complex and expensive.
Bout the ONLY ones from them 2 races that probably willing to work together are mercs, bounty hunters or anyone basically finding themselves in the same unit together an instructed if they want something bad enough OR if they want to survive "X" situation, conflict or mutual enemy showing to be a bit too powerful for either usually pretty formidable species on they own "make it work". Which is probably about the only way can see these 2 super ancient enemies setting aside their differences an learning to large scale trust an be friendly as a whole to each other. About the only other STILL major an perhaps more ancient rivalry comes to mind ATM is the Sith vs Jedi.. since literally the times such factions EVER seem to have even considered or tried to do so can be counted on one hand ... Of any species

Lasers and plasma may be more lethal and give off more long-lasting damage (contrary to how cartoons treat them as "kid-friendly firearms"), you gotta admit that slugthrowers/bullet guns have a far more, hmm, shoulder-deep charm and feel even as their users reach beyond the stars, if not harness energy like mana, ki, chi, leylines, and so on. Then again, that's prolly because lasers can't seem to fit in the abnormal gunslinger mantras of, say, Vash the Stampede and two witches by the name of Akemi and Tomoe.
Yeah, but bullets can get stuck in your body, at least laser blasts just damage you without all the hassle of having to dig anything out when you're being treated. Now to be fair, despite living on an alien planet, there really isn't too much-advanced technology in Trigun given how the Humans ended up on the planet, so Vash needing to still use bullets instead of lasers makes sense. As for Homaru and Mami, I'd like to think these bullets are at least magically charged making them much stronger than normal Human firearms because there using these things to kill and injure other magical creatures. I'd like to think if you're a magical being or an advanced robot that you'd be a lot more durable than a Human and thus bullets shouldn't really harm you.

Still, magically enhancing lasers just doesn't have that strong feeling of power compared to good old lead reformed into piercing shapes, since there are already laser-likes made out of magical energy all around.
I suppose all ranged weapons are just about focusing energy on a point, lasers focus energy with a beam, guns focus kinetic energy using the bullet to deliver the energy

It would be trivial technology, and note they had zero problem with the stun carbine energy gun. It's far more likely that they prefer the noise.

Heckler: Wait, but you haven't even uploaded any chapters yet, because you like to have the entire story written up so you can upload weekly chapters when you decide it's time to start uploading. Can't you just add some bits to the Kashyyyk parts before that? Yes, but I'm also lazy and don't want to do that. I hate how Trandoshans are voiced these days. In Empire Strikes Back and Republic Comando, they actually sound like reptiles struggling to form human words. Now they just sound like Peter Lorre imitations.
I always loved to steal a concussion rifle from the Trandoshans in Dark Forces 2. And it was fun in multi-player too, because it couldn't be blocked by a lightsaber.
Imagine having to have specialized an specially made weapons must've been hell on some of them when felt the need to find a good SW equivalent to blade an/or gunsmith... Imagine THAT space "forged in fire" alternate reality episode....
Although I certainly respect the Trandoshan's abilities, I never liked them. Not just because they picked on my beloved Wookies to such a fanatical degree (though that's the main reason) but also, rightly or wrongly, they just struck me as utter savages that just discovered semi-civilized behaviour before getting a bunch of new weapons to play with. Not exactly a species with many redeeming qualities (outside of murdererous abilities) so trade with them must have been pretty precarious as well. Much like Gamorrans, I'm amazed they ever figured out space travel, as developing intricate tech doesn't appear to be a strong suit with them. :)
I remember when they had the Trando shotgun in Battlefront as a random pickup weapon and it made a bunch of people super asshurt because of how powerful it was.
