Fire gas grenades, but make sure they have magnetic lock targetters so Jedi can't Force Push them back." Exile: "How could you have killed Jedi?" Atton: "I taught myself... techniques. No force user is invincible. but the really skilled and powerful ones will take the best plans, best equipment, and top skills to defeat, regardless of how many cheapshots you set up. Not that it's impossible or even close, but the best of the best aren't easy to bring down, force user or not.

@@justindunlap1235 or have so much buckshot fired at them while a sonic weapon blast there eardrum's to oblivion that they can't focus enough for it to work
One great anti-Jedi/Sith weapon is the FC-1 Flechette Launcher. You might remember it as the four-barreled, rectangular shotgun from Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. It's canon again, thanks to a book. The metal spikes it fires can't be effectively blocked by lightsabers, and the secondary fire is a pair of explosive rounds for AOE damage. It's one of the few weapons I'd dare to get close to a saber-wielder with, because at that range, armor or personal shields won't save them. And at longer range, it can hit a lot of targets at once. A Jedi/Sith used to reflecting blaster bolts is as good as dead; they have to use the Force to divert the flechettes. And with multiple flechette hails fired in quick succession, only the most well-trained Force users could hope to stop them all.
One thing that tends to be forgotten in the whole superpower talk is that Jedi and Sith are often baseline humans, or near-human aliens, meaning that they are vulnerable in body, and in mind. If you manage to affect the body beyond the ability to heal or overcome (paralyzing gas, neurotoxins, electrical shock causing muscle seizure, liquid nitrogen freezing their joints and cracking their armour...), or you manage to actually deeply affect their mind (terror tactics, demoralization, mental exhaustion, overwhelming anger...), they will slip up. Vader is a good example of someone who uses psychological warfare to weaken the enemy before he even arrives, but for the whole package (sickness, low morale, physical and mental exhaustion, heavy use of explosives...), you want to read the comics on the battle of Jabiim, aka mini-Geonosis, a month-long slaughter of Jedi so traumatic that it was arguably a big part of Anakin's gradual fall into darkness in the Legends continuity.
At less than 1% of 1% of 1% of the populace as Force-sensitives in the Galaxy, that is still in the tens of billions. For the Jedi, who had roughly 100,000 at most (pre-Order 66), it would be
Not all force sensitive people are trained jedi though many are undetected until they become to old to be trained or are part of difrent cults (like the nightsister) but still not quite as much as stated in the video I belive one per averagly populated planet is a good gues. So maybe 1 in 10 billion or something close to that.
In a Star Wars rpg I played an engineer who modified a sonic pistol to resonate on the same frequency as the focusing lenses in lghtsabers. I had a GM who loved lateral thinking so he was happy to okay the design based on a simple scientific principle and boom, one well targeted shot with it and the Sabercracker (tm) would crack the lens in a lightsaber, rendering it useless until repaired.
Another tactic I would like to add is star fighters. While the Skywalkers were excellent pilots (its literally in their name "sky walker") I don't believe the other jedi were as adept at flying star fighters and I think that flight takes jedi out of their element and puts them on a more even playing field. For example, Plo Koon was a skilled jedi master even capable of creating his own lightning that was killed by two unamed clone pilot teams in a dogfight where he was not able to use most of his powers.
I'd hardly call Plo Koon's death a dogfight. HIs wingmen decelerate slightly behind him and shoot his unshielded ship with no opportunity to take evasive action.
Yeah, Jedi are pretty good with star fighters as well, they have a advantage but you would likely have a better chance against them in a dog fight than on the ground, but if they are a jedi that specializes in Starfighter combat, then your best bet is to run or I guess fly away.
to be fair to Plo Koon, I don't think he expected his long time allies to suddenly get an order from the supreme chancellor who turned out to be a sith lord to kill all the jedi
Problem with flamethrowers is that if the force user is skilled enough, they can use telekinesis to block/move the burning liquid. Same for projectile weapons/slug throwers
unless the force user happens to be Vader, Palpatine, Windu, or Yoda they will not have that training using the force to block flamethrowers is all but reserved for Masters. Unless it is one of those four in which case you properly did something to earn their personal attention so your already a dead man/woman walking.
Yeah their extremely enhanced reflexes (which they do have, I have absolutely no idea what GT was saying about them lacking that when it's actually pretty well documented, not to mention precog) and telekinesis means they can easily block several projectiles, or at least redirect them with a force push. At the end of the day, force users are telekinetic and telepathic psychics, some of which can see the future. There is no easy way to defeat one unless everything goes to plan, or you are a powerful trained psychic yourself
didnt know force users had god like neo powers! haha. But yeah that scene in the sequel trilogy where kylo blocks the laser bolt was so mind blowing! 100% this is a good point and something to consider

I always thought it would be smart and super cool to have a cortosis guard on a lightsaber. It's kind of an underhanded tactic, so maybe the jedi wouldn't approve, but it seems like it would be an effective way of winning a saber duel.
I've always thought the same thing. That and a momentary off switch so you could just avoid your opponents blocks By turning off the blade for a fraction of a second.
In what refers the canon lightsabers have some kind of "heavy" that means they deal strength when hitting, also cortosis is fragile in any iteration, so the most probably outcome would be a 1 time trick cause the guard would likely break at the first strike
@@foxhound963 Pre-Luke, maybe. Though I doubt it would be enough to do the trick. For example: if you squirt your phone with water, nothing happens. If you drop your phone in water, then you wreck it. But yes, durring the Republic, only Kit Fisto had re-worked his lightsaber to work underwater.

Would having a droid bodyguard that can fight force users be an option? Droidekas, magnaguards, BX commando, HKB-3, EG-05, JK-13, and Ultra battle droids seem to be effective. Is there any chance I can talk you into doing a video of the best droids to use against force users?
Does a general grievous count as a droid:). I would say it's at least somewhat proof of concept. Exactly how easy that concept is to replicate or produce en mass is a different question
Thank you for being one of the few SW fans with a brain. Most others just rant some nonsense about how "technological terror" is insignificant next to the Force.
Watch out on magnetic bullets, they get caught in the lightsabers magnetic field, used to keep the lightsaber blade in place. Classic chemical propulsion of cortosis or other lightsaber resistant Material bullets is the way to go here. If you have it a crossbow or a sling, using the upper conditions with the bolt fullfilling the upper conditions should work as well, if a little slower. don´t bother with fancy tech like explosive bullets or EMP. A hardcore shell with the core made from lightsaber resistant materials should work, too. But we´re slowly entering tank shell territory. And a tank should be able to wipe away a jedis smug smile anyway. The Verpines may have beautiful and effective slugthrowers, but those normally need to contain some magnetic materials in order to work properly.
@@bazilisek502 Or the other way round: if the magnetic field is strong enough, it´ll matter a lot. since the Kyber crystals are working as energy amplificators, to a shear endless degree, I fear that the deflection capabilities of the saber are very much dependant on the rest-components in a lightsaber (such as cables, the energy cells input, etc.). But I´ll somewhat agree, at least the bolt will not come back to haunt you, even if it´s magnetic. the worst that will probably happen to the projectile is getting absorbed into the blade, giving the jedi a little dirt on it´s lightsaber after the battle.
Yeah, thanks to the Yuuzhan Vong, I’ve got an Extended Family of Furrets( _Pokémon_ )/Ferrets with Ysalamir laced into their genome & such… Question: what happens if the ‘Jedi/Sith’ in question has a Force-Imbued metal sword? How well would that work out?
Pretty well actually. There's more than just the Jedi and Sith out there. They're just the two biggest and well known Force Orders. There's plenty of wild Force Adepts and smaller orders out there and they're known to imbue more mundane weapons with The Force over time to tune themselves to the weapon. It won't deflect blaster rounds like a lightsaber but those weapons somehow seem to be capable of more then before...
@@nickvinsable3798 Theoretically yes. In practice there's all manner of other factors to consider but at its very core of 'could I fend off a Jedi/Sith with a force imbued weapon. Yes. Vibroblades have been used since the days of the Old Republic and can easily parry lightsabers due to how they work which vibrates the blade to a frequency that matches energy production. Now that blade is still going to take durability damage and need to be replaced but it can hold its own for a bit. Force imbued weapons work somewhat the same way. It's all the other factors you include that really make it a solid yes/no.

In legends, and I think it may still exist in Canon, there were flechete launchers, which were basically man portable munitions launchers whose rounds would split up into a cloud of razor sharp darts, blades, etc. Jedi had a real hard time avoiding a cloud of razor blades launched at point blank range
Misleading Statement: Anything you have heard in that vein is merely slander and speculation, Master. I would never concoct twenty-eight different ways to kill your friends... Additional Aside: That is an offensively low number.
I mostly used the scatter pistol, but functionally the bolt-group was considered as a single bolt for sabre-blocking so it's main feature was irrelevant
Molotov cocktails are a good thing to use the instructions are simple light and throw at the target and they are simple to make and it uses a lot of different fuel types alcohol is common and a works great in the container you buy it in all you need is a piece of cloth that you can get from your clothes
In Star Wars: Dark Forces 2 (if I recall), there were three weapons I'd use to usurp the defenses of Force-users and they basically resembled a shotgun, a grenade launcher, and a sniper rifle. The shotgun was the flechette cannon. The grenade launcher was a radioactive glob launcher on the underside of the Imperial heavy blaster. And the sniper rifle was a type of super-blaster. The glob launcher was my top fave followed closely by the flechette cannon. The sniper super-blaster was hard to use effectively because you couldn't move while aiming with the scope. 0:12 Chaotic? But weren't those shenanigans the result of different definitions of "order?" 12:09 Aren't they obsessed with "order," though? Or is that less a Sith thing and more an Empire thing?
The odd thing about it is that Jedi/Sith would do better not fighting as well. They would be much better scouts, info gatherers and saboteurs than fighters. Let the hordes of robots do the fighting. You'll lose a bunch, but hey, build more.

He made a slight mistake. Cortosis isn’t a metal. If you read the book Thrawn Alliances, which is cannon, cortosis is described as a fibrous, plant-like material. It does still short out lightsaber blades and also disperses blaster bolt energy.
They’re more neutral. They live for battle which can seem like they are just like Sith, but they value honour above all else which makes them more Jedi. (Not the bounty Hunter versions as they mainly just go for who can pay the most).
Well… that’s a complex question. The only Mandalorian we know of that took fighting along Qel-Droma and Exar Kun as a bad thing was Mandalore the Perserver. But by and Large they mesh better and do better with the Sith. Until you hit imperial era Sith. Palpatine wasn’t a typical Sith Lord, and he sought more than dominance. He sought control over everything. Death Watch Allied with the ‘Dark Side’ during that god awful peaceful Mandalorian Arc, but quickly didn’t like it. So it really depends on era. But mainly they are more Sith oriented than Jedi.
9:17 just going to say, I love this art of Thrawn with his little Ysalimari buddy, especially the one with it cosied up in his hoody... In fact let us all appreciate the image of Thrawn on one of his chill-days, where he wears a hoody
Thrawn was a man of culture, dude loved his art. I can see him being VERY confused by earth art and culture. "I have had my agents scour this world, and they have still yet to find the elusive 'Hello Kitty' I have seen much artwork of."
5:32 actually at worst it is a cortosis bullet so it kills the lightsaber when they block it and now they can't easily stop the follow up shot. According to Cad Bane it wears through the barrels faster than conventional ammo so save it for jedi and make your shots count.
@@ben4R Honestly that makes sense for what you are using it for. Lightsaber burns through the outer coating then gets disabled. Just don't let Cad Bane hear you say that, alright?
Pickpocketing or tractor beams for sticky fingers, magnets powerful enough to rip your phone through your leg like an MRI machine and emp's which there are droid poppers, flame throwers and if you have a means of detonating the flames to spread it, concussion weapons, shotguns and flak guns (there is a small risk of the leifenfrost effect causing the round to deflect off itself melting but since they don't wear armor, they'd still get a little shrapnel) stopping the force all together is amazing and I love learning more about thrawn's pure tactical prowess. More explosives verging on artillery and anti ship guns, destroying planets and solar systems to get them. Then finally bribery lol
Actually, Flame throwers CAN be blocked via telekinesis & I'm pretty sure I've seen Windu not only DODGE a guided missile but then redirect it back at its shooter.
You forgot a few of the best weapons to use. 1) Another Force User, 2) A tactical nuclear launcher a.k.a. a Fat Man launcher, 3) a Naval Particle Cannon. The first has its own issues, the second you have to have some skill in basic math, and the third you need access to a WarShip or DropShip.
A weapon you didn't list that is known as being one of the best options for taking out force users is the Verpine Shatter Gun. Which is a handheld magnetic accelerator which fires a tiny pellet at incredible speeds. So fast in fact that it's effectively impossible to even react before you get turned into a fine red mist. Much less block, dodge, or even see it coming. They were also nearly silent and could be used at extreme range with pinpoint accuracy in the hands of a skilled marksman. You could argue that this is a slug thrower but I don't think it qualifies because it's not using any form of chemical propellent like slug throwers do and instead works via completely different principles. The only real downsides to them is that they're rare & expensive.
A suit of power armor, beskar and such plated. Jet packs inbuilt of coarse. Secondary stun or shotgun weapons mounted for all around coverage. And a... or maybe a pair of... rotary autocanons firing kinetic explosive amunition set to airburst at the targets location based on predicted flight times. Near misses are deadly, blocking is unlikely to work and if it doesn't they can't reflect it. Using the force to grab and stop the rounds also takes a lot of focus and is very hard to redirect them back at you when they'd explode before they could turn them and shoot them back. And if you're own armor can tank the fragmentation from them all the better. Finally a flamethrower or too, and you're golden. Maybe toss in a Ylsimari in a little armored backpack compartment for it to be safe in and really... what's a force user to do?
Would railguns be a good weapon against Jedi? They are kind of like a combination of blasters and slug throwers. Also, surprised that you talked about superweapons to kill Jedi, but didn't include the superweapon that actually killed Jedi, the Mass-Shadow Generator.
The Mass Shadow Generator was a one off super weapon that took advantage of the particular nature of the planet it was used on and it destroyed the planet in question, along with everything that was in orbit of it. A Railgun on the other hand, I would like to see a Jedi parry a tungsten slug coming at them at Mach-10
@@weldonwin Yeah, theoretically a Sith could use force lightning to deflect the trajectory of the slug but still would probably be too fast for any force user to react to.
@@soaringraven0 A big part I think of why Jedi and Sith can deflect blaster bolts, is because they seem to travel so slow compared to bullets. Hell, if the railgun is anything like the ones being experimented with now, you wouldn't even have to directly hit the Force User, since Railgun rounds just light the air around them on FIRE with the sheer force of friction and the compression wave they will produce isn't going to be too healthy either
That clip near the beginning with someone deflecting all those blaster bolts back at the troopers is so sick, but I don’t recognize it! I can’t believe I’ve forgotten such an awesome scene, does anyone know what it’s from?
3:20 Darth Bane on Apatros mines: I wish that were true The Darth Bane books especially the first page of the first book states how Cortosis was so hard to mine that it would take hours just to mine it with hydraulic jacks or blow torches.
Would a lightsaber be effective against a bowcaster? At least in Legends it was a solid projectile with an ionized plasma sheath. So would the lightsaber deflect the plasma or with the projectile go through the blade?
Anything physical connects with that blade it will immediately start melting. The two magnetic fields however would interact allowing the lightsaber to push aside the object similar to your average sword deflecting an arrow. This is why the vaunted and lauded buckshot is actually useless against a lightsaber. One quick sweep and the entire volley is neutralized having been vaporized by the plasma. So yes. The lightsaber is effective against a bowcaster. Now whether or not an untrained user is going against a skilled bowcaster marksman....

From the easiest to carry around with you like Uzis, P-90's and even automatic pistols, to the slightly bigger but most potent rifle-like machine guns like the always reliable AK-47. Not to mention, the good ol' minigun. All of these firearms are projectile weapons and they have an insanely fast rate of fire! You can overwhelm a Sith or a Jedi who are blocking with a lightsaber by the sheer ammount of bullets that you're firing per second, and best of all even if they DO block, the bullets will at best just pop, _at worst melt down and splash all over them!_ They're perfect! *Unless the Jedi or Sith in question is in-tune enough with the Force that they just stop the bullets mid-air with the Force, Matrix style. At that point I suggest taking cover before they throw that back at you.*
6:17 or it will just go through the lightsaber most bullet have to mutch velocity to even have the time to eaht from the blade so it will just go through the blade ending the life of the lightsaber user that didn't manage to stop a supersonic projectil
4:27 “what do ya do then?” Well geez Allen, given the circumstances of the situation, I suppose I’ll just solve the situation with the resources I have on hand.
For close quarter combat i would use a Shield with reactive armor, aka a swlaqp of steel with a dozen claimor mines glued to it. Your Lightsaber swinger will get atleast his arm ripped off.
Blaster set for stun seems like something the average Star Wars person would have access to. Especially if you get multiple people firing. Once stunned, you can take their lightsaber away and tie them up.
Probably the most effective way is shooting them in the hand. Most Jedis that died to blaster fire were hit the limbs before taking fatal hits. Jango killed that Dinosaur Jedi guy by shooting him in the hand first followed by 2 quick ones to the chest while he was staggered. Clones were trained explicitly to shoot Jedi in the limbs rather than going for lethal shots. If you can shoot a Jedi in the foot you can probably kill one very easily. Not a blaster but Dooku beat Obi Wan by stabbing him in the thigh first. Jedi are trained to protect what's important but they aren't built to not flinch from getting shot where it isn't important
Better yet, a cluster bomb missile. With a mini-gun they could seek cover or rip the gun out of your hand before you fired, but with a bunch of cluster bomb missiles, they can’t do anything. Carpet bombs go boom everywhere.
multi beam Lazer would likely be the best. shape of a cross with 4 beams at the tips of the cross and a beam in the center would prove impossible to deflect due to angels of beam attack

The metal spikes it fires can't be effectively blocked by lightsabers, and the secondary fire is a pair of explosive rounds for AOE damage.
For the Jedi, who had roughly 100,000 at most (pre-Order 66), it would be
By the time of the battle of naboo the Jedi had at most between 10,000-15,000.
They had 10,000 Jedi in the galaxy at the time.
Yo what thats smart

The Verpines may have beautiful and effective slugthrowers, but those normally need to contain some magnetic materials in order to work properly.
thing about magnetic field is if its fast enough it doesnt matter

Pretty well actually.
There's more than just the Jedi and Sith out there. They're just the two biggest and well known Force Orders. There's plenty of wild Force Adepts and smaller orders out there and they're known to imbue more mundane weapons with The Force over time to tune themselves to the weapon.
And a... or maybe a pair of... rotary autocanons firing kinetic explosive amunition set to airburst at the targets location based on predicted flight times.

It has always been my understanding that the wooky bow casters are quite effective!! 🤠👍
