    Do you live here in Venezuela? Do you know the history of my country? Have you ever experienced living in danger 24/7? Have you ever had to ask for permission to your goverment to get on a plane because they won't let you use your money? This is not socialism my darling, this is a vulgar dictatorship.

      ***** The Venezuelan people for the most part are very religious (96% are Roman Catholic) so atheism can not be seen as a reason for violence.

    • @fhaweuifhiaweu
      @fhaweuifhiaweu 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe we are not on the same page with regard to the definition of atheism. When one is atheist, he/she denies the existence of any deities whether it be Jesus Christ, Buddha, or Zeus. If the beliefs of Catholicism does not fit into your ideological paradigm it does not mean they are atheists.

    • @fhaweuifhiaweu
      @fhaweuifhiaweu 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is false Sung Seo. Roman Catholicism teaches that there is one God who is the creator of all things (not unlike other forms of Christianity) and is ultimately the entity who has final say in the fate of everyone and everything. As for your question I believe I and everyone else is in control of their own reality which is the product of our consciousness but I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a "god" in the classical sense.

Ahh thought them so vicious that iff ahh ever come across them in futures ahh will ever castrate all throat cut them as ahh think they should never be a part off the human race.

    According to a recent Q&A with Shane Smith, they split the videos into different parts to render faster and get the content out more quickly. From what I understood they edit the content on the fly as soon as it's done. Splitting it up lets them release it earlier.

    One thing that might help cool down the violent deaths are some REASONABLE gun laws. I'm surprised that Chavez hasn't banned guns entirely, so that is actually a good sign that he isn't completely rotten, but it should be illegal to conceal firearms. It should be illegal to loiter outside. Drinking while carrying a firearm should be illegal. Men who have been convicted of violent crimes shouldn't be allowed to own fire arms.

No taxes, no high bills, no poverty (between locals), cheap food. Goverment help if you want to open a business, study in university locally or abroad, help when you get married, help when you have kids and so on. If you want to open a business in Abu Dhabi, currently they give you a piece of land with water (free) to grow local products

    i saw that too. they probably do edit each of these *parts* by part ie; one at a time and upload them, but you would never edit a whole doc / film "part by part" ie; on the fly and release each part before the other parts are complete because the film is a single work, a collection of all the film shot. i mean it's possible but very unusual and extremely unlikely. certainly not the "normal" way to edit a film.

    Sigh... Let me break this down for you:
    The documentary explained that the violence in Venezuela wasn't directly tied to the drug trade. Most of the violence was simple "you looked at my sister the wrong way" kind of petty crime. The lower socio-economic group has a very strong culture of violence.
    Now the access to cheap firearms is through the drug cartels and street gangs. The drug cartels have a strong presence in Venezuela, their is rampant police corruption, thus easy access to cheap guns

    VICE isn't heavily covering on the past of Venezuelan crime, granted. From my understanding it is the present day crime of Venezuela that they are interested in. Yes, there are many countries, policies, important history points that VICE should have covered, but that should not discredit what they have done. They are merely putting light upon the issue, merely raising intrigue and incentive upon their audience, for a full brief the viewer should take it upon themselves to know more.

    I think they were talking about the increase in violence, which he has never directly addressed. Very clearly in the first portion they show him blaming previous governments for the violence they are now experiencing, rather then taking personal responsibility for failed policies such as removing legal civilian gun ownership. Socialism does not require that civilians be disarmed. The truth is, especially in that portion of the world; the governments are poor and security is weak. Guns are cheap.

    This isn't the same situation as the U.S. providing support for the Contras in Nicaragua or for the Mujahaddin in Afghanistan. The violence isn't being carried out by an organized militia/terrorist group against the government, the people carrying out the violence aren't united by some ideology or objective.
    The violence is over petty personal disputes within an impoverished group of people that it is proliferated by poverty and a sub-culture that has a strong tendency towards violence.

    I'm from Caracas, this is very accurate, so, I don't doubt the journalist capacities of this guy, can say I actually look at it with a lot of respect, many others have tried what he acomplished, the government don't let foreign press into the country very easily as well as inner press is highly pursued by any statement that can be against the local goverment. Considering this is the true, and as you said "have close to zero knowledge" So how can you put this documentary and this work in doubt?

    I love everything about Vice except the annoying/loud staticy noise in the intros, and the fact that they are dividing their videos up so many times which makes me have to hear it over and over again, in addition to being a method to bolster views.
    Sad panda.

    Willis Carrier actually invented airconditioning; he isnt black. Primitive elevators were in use as early as the 3rd century BC and the modern elevators owe a lot more to frost and strutt "In 1835, architects Frost and Stutt built the "Teagle", a belt-driven, counter-weighted, and steam-driven lift was developed in England" cellphones were invented by Martin Cooper and the internet wasent invented by one person. Leonard Kleinrock, came up with the idea Tim Berners-Lee invented HTML

    The oil industry was nationalized in 1975, 24 years before Chavez came into power. Chavez did not kick companies out. Moreover, under chavismo the dependence on the US as main market has increased. Just have a look at official figures.
