Maybe we are not on the same page with regard to the definition of atheism. When one is atheist, he/she denies the existence of any deities whether it be Jesus Christ, Buddha, or Zeus. If the beliefs of Catholicism does not fit into your ideological paradigm it does not mean they are atheists.
That is false Sung Seo. Roman Catholicism teaches that there is one God who is the creator of all things (not unlike other forms of Christianity) and is ultimately the entity who has final say in the fate of everyone and everything. As for your question I believe I and everyone else is in control of their own reality which is the product of our consciousness but I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a "god" in the classical sense.
Yes, a vicar meaning a representative but they still believe in the God I just mentioned. Whatever man, this discussion is going nowhere lol have a nice day.
Right now things are even 100 times worst, this is a very old video I can't believe it! So sad, Venezuela used to be one of the best countries in Latin America...

According to a recent Q&A with Shane Smith, they split the videos into different parts to render faster and get the content out more quickly. From what I understood they edit the content on the fly as soon as it's done. Splitting it up lets them release it earlier.
The reason is that it takes shit loads of time for youtube to render it in HD. By deviding it into three smaller videos you get the HD right the way, instead of people bithing about the quality of a 20+ minutes video who takes maaany hours to render!
To set the number in perspective I just checked the homicide rate for my country. Whereas 1 out of 1500 Venezuelans is a possible homicide victim each year, its just 1 one out of 37000 Germans at the same time. Wow! The problem seems huge!
TheGamingParadise lol, I guess for Canadian standards that's pretty high, EHHHH?!? There's at least 15 to 20 US Cities with bigger numbers, and the US isn't even considered that bad anymore...It's cleaned up a lot in the last couple decades...
You forget that caracas and maracaibo hold most of the country's population alone, and the crime there is awful. I was born and raised there, and I don't even visit anymore because of the insecurity.
Hey man I am really interested in knowing more about this. If it is not as bad as they show in this film, then what about those murder and crime numbers? How different is life in Venezuela to the way they show it here? Thanks for speaking the truth.
One thing that might help cool down the violent deaths are some REASONABLE gun laws. I'm surprised that Chavez hasn't banned guns entirely, so that is actually a good sign that he isn't completely rotten, but it should be illegal to conceal firearms. It should be illegal to loiter outside. Drinking while carrying a firearm should be illegal. Men who have been convicted of violent crimes shouldn't be allowed to own fire arms.
In the US you can exchange money anywhere. We sell about a million barrels a day and what have we accomplished? What the Emirates have accomplished in 40 years? No taxes, no high bills, no poverty (between locals), cheap food. Goverment help if you want to open a business, study in university locally or abroad, help when you get married, help when you have kids and so on. If you want to open a business in Abu Dhabi, currently they give you a piece of land with water (free) to grow local products
i saw that too. they probably do edit each of these *parts* by part ie; one at a time and upload them, but you would never edit a whole doc / film "part by part" ie; on the fly and release each part before the other parts are complete because the film is a single work, a collection of all the film shot. i mean it's possible but very unusual and extremely unlikely. certainly not the "normal" way to edit a film.

My apologies, she did do a good job as well. I haven't seen her do anything else though and forgot to give her the honorable mention. I live in Russia and she translated the despair of Novokuznetsk quite well. A burnt out Siberian industrial city is a site to be seen, it's goes from city center ghetto to mutant outskirt wasteland. No beauty anywhere at all. It's a hopelessness I can't put into words. Hundreds of miles in any direction; nothingness.
Sigh... Let me break this down for you: The documentary explained that the violence in Venezuela wasn't directly tied to the drug trade. Most of the violence was simple "you looked at my sister the wrong way" kind of petty crime. The lower socio-economic group has a very strong culture of violence. Now the access to cheap firearms is through the drug cartels and street gangs. The drug cartels have a strong presence in Venezuela, their is rampant police corruption, thus easy access to cheap guns
VICE isn't heavily covering on the past of Venezuelan crime, granted. From my understanding it is the present day crime of Venezuela that they are interested in. Yes, there are many countries, policies, important history points that VICE should have covered, but that should not discredit what they have done. They are merely putting light upon the issue, merely raising intrigue and incentive upon their audience, for a full brief the viewer should take it upon themselves to know more.
I think you missed the point of doire7's comment. He's asking about where the guns that are so cheap on the black market come from. And why so cheap? It's almost as if someone was arming them on purpose really.
I think they were talking about the increase in violence, which he has never directly addressed. Very clearly in the first portion they show him blaming previous governments for the violence they are now experiencing, rather then taking personal responsibility for failed policies such as removing legal civilian gun ownership. Socialism does not require that civilians be disarmed. The truth is, especially in that portion of the world; the governments are poor and security is weak. Guns are cheap.
the thing about documentaries is what you're looking at is through the lens of the producer. whether you're influenced, repulsed or entertained by it is due to the way you think as you experience the doc. are you conspiratorial? are you a fool? are you smart? documentaries won't answer that question for you. it shows what it shows, but what you make of it depends on how you see it.
they do it to generate more ad revenue. its more profitiable to upload them separate. however, i wish they would just all the different episodes on the same day, i dont mind clicking another link to give them money, but dont make us wait 5 days for 5 minute videos
