Flamboyant Gamine Makeup Series | Liza Minnelli's Expressive Eyes | Authentic by Frani

#LizaMinnelli is one of the #flamboyantgamine lodestars of the #kibbe system, and it's easy to see why. She's such a firecracker, wrapped in a small, compact package. We know her from her role in Cabaret, but today, I'm trying out one of her commonly worn eye makeup looks: these heavy, round "Betty Boop"-esque eyes.

As someone who grew up in the 1970s and was often told I looked like Ms Minelli, I can say that the best way to do the eyeliner for texture and thickness is to use a good pencil instead of brushes. We were also taught by the magazines of the day not to link the lines for top and bottom, so you're dead right with the spacing for the under line.

I recently found out I'm FG and this is how I always do my makeup except more natural colours (I'm a dark autumn type, so brown liner and warm toned eyeshadow). Beautiful tutorial, you look great!

Few years ago I chopped my hair pixi style and a lot of people told me that I looked like Liza Minnelli that's what put FG on the map for me. You did a really nice job recreating that look ;)

I've always done my lashes "big" and I was heavily influenced by Liza's look. Her face was all over the place during my 70's childhood. But I've never tried to do the whole look! This was fun to watch.
