Personally I prefer the predecessor W222 interior. It somehow brought traditional design elements and technology so beautifully. This W223 interior is fine, but feels less mercedes and more Tesla.
Agreed. I understand the minimalist design from Tesla and I'll assume MB is going this route to appeal to new buyers. But I always thought the S Class was to highlight the new technology while retaining comfort and style. Yes this is the Brabus version but still..
I agree, and will add that the exterior of the W222 looks better too. The W223 looks like a larger C class now because of the new front and rear.
this new interior was designed by a bunch of drunk lazy designers. They finished the interior layout and forgot about the center screen or gauges. instead of starting from scratch, they decided it was a better idea to retrofit some cheap looking tablets in there and call it a day
w222 interior is peak sclass for me.

You should do more cruising tests. Top gear at 200kph and see how loud it is, the rpm and fuel consumption. This one just gotta be the top dawg.

This is the singular best looking saloon car Mercedes make IMO...The lines , grill , lights , wheels , work in perfect harmony with the exterior shape. It's one of the few cars that easily pull off the ' Classy ' look. The interior is pure luxury and tech as expected. Then the power......9/10

What's funny Max shames the BMW 7 series for having screens and crystal things in the interior but praises for Mercedes with their cheap interior quality. In my opinion the 7 series now has caught up with the S-class. They dropped the ball on this generation S-class. And yeah I have driven both of them.

i like the looks of the 'new' SClass but in terms of dashboard i think the W222 was peak SClass.
It needs the limiter disabled to utilise the tuning package installed. I think it will do well over 300km/h.

One of the most beautiful cars on the whole market. S-classes have always been the epitome of luxury. Sadly a lot of people here in the comments always find something to complain about…
Absolutely no comparison to the beauty of the pre 223 S-Classes. Looks cheap, quality declines but the price tremendously increased. It’s all about profit, no honor anymore.
You are right, the looks of the car are incredible and luxurious but the quality is trash. When he sat in the back and closed the door the first time, whatever he was holding was creaking lol

I prefer this kind of reviews and POV of more 'ordinary' (I know its not that ordinary) limousines instead of over the top tuned ones with +1000HP or AMG's. Less screamy is more style.

Genuinely I think Brabus and Mercedes has gone a long way downhill from the past but now consumer tastes for cars has changed a lot. In the past Brabus used to create much more insane engines and have much more bespoke parts mixing sport and luxury together. Now all current Mercedes are just tacky tablets with black plastics and sport seats. Most cars generally have gone this route

The car is good but the interior is horrible. They went from a comfortable lounge you would find in a 5 star hotel to this I Pad, McDonald's ordering screen.
Shame it looks cheap though, screens looks very tacky. Cheap interior, prefer the previous generation S-class. That is way better than this Chinese crap. No Max 2:29 they are not doing a good job with that door trim creaking at 2:02. Quality is not there like in the previous generation.
The numbers dont match and that is stupid. The new gen S also doesnt look good with this new nose and rear. The S used to have its own identity.

It's too cramped for me.
The W222 is WAY, WAY better looking. Not too much of a digital bloat, where here in W223 is just bloating the hell out of Tesla crap.
Big bmw fan here but Mercedes (not this one) do win in the interior part imo.
