A close friend of mine passed away a week before his graduation last year in an accident caused by drinking and driving. This was his favourite song, that he used to sing for everyone constantly. On the way to his funeral, this song came on the radio. Everytime I hear it I remember the good times. RIP Matt
So I had a Teacher in highschool who loves this song and my whole senior class adored him so we sang this song to him at the end of the year.

My uncle was murdered in December, and this was the first song that was played at his funeral. His favorite place on earth was the beach, and this song was so perfect. We were all bawling and just laughed when we heard the first line. RIP Doug Brady, you'll always have your toes in the water and your ass in the sand now :)

This is my favourite song the first time I heard it was at the Moose lodge in windsor ontario a guy named Tony sang it they could have written it for him he nailed it every time. The thing is, he uses the word "ass" in a context that isn't derogatory or mean in any way. If people didn't make a habit of using that word to insult other people, it'd be just as acceptable a word as "butt" in a cultural sense.

well both, obviously i dont expect it to have perfect spanish pronunciation, I know its really hard, but i meant gramatically, yeah you can say it like that but its not the correct way to, besides people will understand you by the other words but the "en" will not have sense.
It should be "Adios, que vaya con Dios.." Not "Adios, en vaya con Dios" the "en" its a word we use to refer to where something is, and its not a similarity to "and", if they would have wrote "..y vaya con Dios" that would be correct to.
Anyway, i sing it like this, and I like it so... hahaha!
