I test drove a 1LT 2.0 with some upgraded wheels and sunroof. I wanted a fun car that wont land me in jail - that also gets decent mpg. I'm 6'3" and the dealbreaker was the sunroof. I really like to have a sunroof for where I drive - but because they have to sorta after-market them due to the reverse mohawk on the roof, when the sunroof was closed, I was hitting my head against the glass. Too bad - maybe future model years will have a slightly taller roof. It was pretty much what I expected otherwise - the bonus is - when you throw it into a turn, you can definitely tell the front end is like 400lbs lighter than the V8.
I have a 19 2.0 2LT RS in crush orange with American Racing TTf 20 x9.5 gloss black on a square set up with 275 35 20's. I have the sunroof all leather, tech package, black rally stripes, front lip, side skirts and a wicker bill added to the RS spoiler and I dare anyone to tell me this car is not a fun daily driver. It's light weight, goes around corners hugging the ground never using breaks. Oh and don't forget the Flow master American thunder axle back exhaust. I love it and the compliments are coming in everyday. Best part is I'm watching all the SS's parked at the gas station as I go by. 😆
If you want to go with the Barka lounger experience stay with the Camry. This 2.0 Camaro is 400lb less than a V8 model which makes it extremely capable in the twisties.
It is pointless getting an expensive trim and right away, go buy aftermarket parts. Just buy the base cheapest model and modify it with aftermarket parts.
I was actually thinking about that one time like if you want to get a Mustang GT you can just get the base GT for cheaper and get whatever wheels and such you want might take a little work but hey it’ll be worth it down the line
@@john-wo4rv we have 2 2.0 cars one N/A one with turbo, the naturally asperated gets a solid 35mpg (keep in mind this engine was made in the 70's and is in a 86 coupe), and the turbocharged model (from hyundai in the same frame[2013 engine with fed emmitions]) managed a mere 22-26ish. Both have dohc, n/a still with 2 valves per cylinder and the hyundai with 4. I've achieved similar results with a 4.6L northstar v8 from a 2000 cadillac deville (manages 30-31 mpg on the highway 18-25 city)

Glad you liked it

For sure, added bonus my 09 Camry V6 was 14.5 sec in the 1/4 mile AND made it 300K before I sold it!

Agreed, and you get to make it your own

Tell you what I don't much care for the 2.0t trend, i prefer the v8 or v6's. They are bad in gas and they get turbo problems around 120k~
I've had v8's with better mpg AND power
@@geneturner3190 that’s cool not everyone has v8 money.
How old are you and did you even own one?

Modern turbos have gotten a lot better with coolant run Near the compressor turbo and when you shut of the engine it still circulates .
I paid 29.6K for mine, not bad brand new 2023
