I can't stress it enough how much I love the way they designed and animated Gaismagorm's mouth. It's so weird and alien and nothing like we've ever seen before. It really sells this "never seen underground demon/monster" theme.
I think it's also supposed to be a callback to the Serpents (the antagonist monsters of High Rank). Their mouths remind me of the sarcastic fringehead, a fish with a jaw that stretches almost comically in a somewhat similar fashion, but with three "points". With Gaismagorm, it's five points - just like the star on a pentagram.
@@grandeve7531 not really, is actually fairly different in structure. narwa and ibushi's lower jaw is split in the center, like a snake's, allowing it to open from side to side. on top of that, they have an extra set of jaws inside their mouth. gaismagorm's jaw is not split, the actual bone of the lower jaw is at the bottom and doesn't split open, as you can see the teeth lining the bottom of the mouth. the things that flap open to the sides seem to be extra apendages, is a structure more similar to that of the sarcastic fringehead than it is a snake's like the storm serpents. on top of that, it doesn't have the secundary jaw
My heart goes out to Primordial Malzeno. He's out there fighting a one-dragon war against the very things that drove his predecessor mad. Couple that with the fact that in his final phase, the Qurio fucking swarm him and quite literally possess him...and the fact that he tries in vain to protect himself with his huge wings while it happens, I feel for him. I really do. What a worthy conclusion to Sunbreak's storyline.

To take control of the risen power Malzeno gives in to the influence by the Qurio Giasmagorm uses the qurios power because he is the master (obviously) And primezeno is being forcefully controlled and detained by the Qurio It’s cool how all these elders give in to the Quiro no matter how strong

Actually, the risen state is achieved when the monster overcomes the negative effects and embrace the qurio, not reject. The in game description says they evolve a with the qurio when risen, which means they become a true host like Gias.

According to in-game lore, the afflicted monsters are always in agonizing pain until they are consumed by the Qurio, so the risen must have experienced the same thing however due they harvest huge amount of bioenergy they are able to survive and adapt but it seems it is a pretty traumatic experience, you can see how they even have many scars on their bodies.

If you look closely at a Risen Elder after you kill one, their scars pulse slightly. It's most noticeable on Risen Kushala, Teostra, Chameleos and Valstrax. But not Risen Shagaru. Did his encounter with the Qurio happen differently or internally? Also, if you use poison on Risen Kushala, you will delay the transformation and he won't fly as much.
Risen Rajang would literally not stop attacking. We're talking sped-up animations, much faster attacks, combos on top of combos, nonexistent downtime, tons of one-shot moves, limitless stamina, skyscraper-level health. Oh and we can't forget the core trait of Risen Monsters: Entering Risen Mode mere seconds after being forced out of it. (Stares hatefully at Risen Shagaru)
