    Honestly for the 4k price difference I wouldn't say the Aprilia is the much better bike. It's a good bike, yes. But you went on to list the things the Ducati does better and it seems to justify the 4k increase. Electronics, "wayyy better suspension stock", 1/3rd more hp etc

      @@Cathole2305 depends what 400 do you ride? The RS660 is a slight upgrade in terms of power theres definitely more powerful bikes out there but definitely a huge leap in terms of hardware and tech. I used to own a GSXR600 (since you mention ZX6R), it had plenty of power on the top which means you had to constantly make the bike scream to get some power. I didn’t like that it didn’t have power available at the bottom rev, I was drawn towards the RS660 because it has plenty of low end torque.
      A triumph Daytona/Street Triple, Yamaha MT09, Kawasaki Z900, BMW F900, Ducati Panigale V2, Monster 821 would be a good upgrade for you I believe especially if you’re looking for power. If you have the means, the discipline and maturity you could go for 1000cc superbikes.

    Hello, and good morning Cali moto.
    A quick question to ask, if I may....
    I have ridden bikes on and off for many years, but never over 100cc, and now I've done my test in the UK, I am looking at a 660 Tuono, or a v2 streetfighter as my first bike.
    Now money no object etc.. How feasible is it to get a V2 streetfighter, and ride it in rain mode all of the time... circa 100bhp, than getting a Tuono which is circa 100bhp all the time.
    Yes this may sound very vain, but I am drawn more to the Ducati as of the looks, styling, and road presence, but need your expert opinion on whether rain mode V2 will be the same as full power Tuono.
    Thank you.

    The weird thing is in Australia the V2 is barely more expensive than the Rs660 - V2 $23k, RS660 $20.5k. Much harder to make the case for the RS660 when you factor in the mandatory rear shock replacement

    for a very competent budget bike the rs660 is going to be pretty hard to beat. the panigale v2 is in a whole different category of performance and price. when you factor in the unadulterated fun factor Aprilia is sitting very pretty with the rs660, it should make for an extremely popular and great selling bike. but the panigale v2 has, imho, sex on wheels styling and an awesome electronics package. but a hefty price tag

    Hi Bill,
    Great video as always.
    Question: Any suggestions to the heat issue of the V2? We will be installing an Arrow slip on, heat wrapping the exhaust and doing a tune (supposedly the biggest factor to help the bike cool down a bit). I know that Ducatis are hot but V2 is a lot hotter than the SFV4.

    • @Sauce05SRT
      @Sauce05SRT 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know this is an old comment and you've probably remedied the issue but in my buddy's V2 he used this kit they sell for the seat, like an insulator that goes under the seat itself and definitely putting a slip-on helped imo a LOT. Getting rid of that giant metal, heat conducting stock muffler made imo a HUGE difference.

    You should seriously make a video explaining the viewers why you flipped the RS 660. A lot of people like me jumped on this channel to see how this bike would hold up on the long run, but all we know is that you got some error code and bike went on a limp mode when you were at the track one day with the bike and on the next video you said you are selling the bike! You clearly don't recommend this bike now that you have had fair problems with it. Just explain to us viewers what exactly happened and why you decide to sell it. You can keep quite all you want if Aprilia was paying you to promote their bike!

    You said "The RS660 is a better bike if you are on a budget" I think what you are saying is that if you are on a budget the RS660 is the one you can afford of the two not that it is a better bike. I am not even sure how these bikes are in a comparison, in fact I think the 950SSS is a more capable and better bike that the RS660.....I even think the 950SSS is better than the V2 as well (for street). That being said, I think the 950 is a better comparison to the RS660. The other thing to note is the quality difference between Aprilia and Ducati is not even close which is why you say the Ducati has a way better suspension, it is better in every way. I prefer the longer wheel base, it makes the bike much more stable and less twitchy. In all fairness you did say tat these two bikes do not belong in a comparison at the end.
