Even since you've filmed this the prices have dropped further. Looking at ebay sold they seem to go from around £75 - 100 now. The budget gaming glory days are back. Was actually surprised by some of the fps readings in the games you showed. Could be a decent enough starter GPU for someone! Thanks Mike / Kath.
As a PC gamer that has used a gaming laptop, i recently bought a used budget gaming pc with the same graphics card and i gotta say, it's a great starter graphics card for anyone who is getting into building their first PC setup or anyone who wants a good graphics card on a budget.
It's great to see again low to mid budget graphic cards. Been a long time waiting. Currently running my trusty GTX 750 on my I7-3770. I was browsing Amazon and Newegg today and was pleasantry surprised at the lower prices. Time to upgrade my GTX 750. Great review as always Mike and Lady Kath. Take care all... Cheers
Last 12months been using sn Asus gtx1050ti single fan. noisy when playing games albeit with 2x psu shroud mounted fans runs low 60sC. Nice looking card and whether dropped imo £100 is decent value. Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath👍
3:00 I might save up for this, when my warranty for HP EliteDesk G2 full sized tower expires. it's just below NZ$350 now, and my integrated card is good enough for now, but I need an extra card with extra DisplayPort anyway.
I’ve got mine from CEX at £100, this exact model. At 35% fan speed I find it still very audible and annoying is that same for you. At night it seems very loud
Dunno why but I always wanted to get a 1650 card, especially the Ventus one. No need for one (running a 5600XT) but I think its just a good looking card and nice to see that its still knocking about and being a viable option for gamers.
@@oldmanwithers4565 the cards i like the look of most is the MSI Frozr line the black face subtle RGB Aluminium brushed backed plate and like a agressive look nice cards though top end pricey still
It’s great to see GPU prices dropping and for many wanting to get into the pc gaming market, these gpus are a great entry level model. Unfortunately there are many in the pc market with an elitist attitude and would simply say upgrade to to a 6600XT at a minimum. But for many who are single title gamers and e-sports / older title gamers …. These gpus are still great. I do feel the GTX1650 Super was a much better deal for many, although the non-Super model can be fitted into many SFF builds and OEM slimline PCs’ which is a bonus.
the super adds a lot of extra punch and it is is close in price, definitely worth a look. Sadly here they still have a very high premium over the 1650, hopefully that will come down a bit sooner rather than later
Michael Thompson: that's always been a thing with PC, even when i first got into PC back in 2003 when i built my first to use for college, work, and casual gaming after my graduation from highschool. i had a Pentium D from Intel, but everytime someone found out, the question was always why'd you buy that instead of the AMD Athlon 64. which was what you wanted if you were a gamer, but i was more into consoles back then and really big into JRPG's. that being said, i played a few games i can recall on the Pentium D. Heroes of Might & Magic 5 and Heroes 5 Tribes of the East which was an Expansion, WarCraft 3, i played alot of those games back in the day. Diablo and Diablo 2, i still have all the boxes for those games. back then there was a disk you can put in the drive and it runs, getting back to it though, elitism comes from certain people that think there way of thinking is best, but thinking of themselves. it's gotten alot worse at times over the years, but i never had that mindset. the problem today though is, people forget that a PC is more than just for gaming. ive only upgraded my PC a few times over the years, i went from a Pentium D to the Core 2 Quad 9650Q in 2008, then from that to the i7 4790, and now with my current AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with a RX 5700 XT

The problem is the SUPER version is not being manufactured anymore. There's still a lot of GTX 1650's being built and there's stock everywhere, after that you have the GTX 1660 super which seems to be next bump up. Here in canada, the GTX 1650 goes for around 230$ ~ 270$ CAD depending on the AIB. GTX 1660s are around 400$ CAD give or take. So it's a big bump up. On the used market GTX 1650 super's are rare.
@@Dingbat1967 sounds like a Canada problem...Regardless of them no longer being manufactured, they can be found easily (elsewhere I guess) used. I'd rather it used than a new 1650. Very nice review. I'd like to know if this particular GPU goes well with Ryzen 5 5600G. My budget is very tight and I'd like to have a discreet GPU soon, and this one looks nice. I'm fine with at least 60 fps.

For older systems or anything built on PCI Gen 3 -- this is a great little card.
