as long as youre having fun with the game it shouldnt matter, chasing more and more progress always drains the soul out of everything
Think of IH as a solo game. You're on your journey, beating them game with the heroes you build. Yes, you can spend, yes, you can pick the powerful strategies. But if you aren't having fun, you're not winning.

Also worth mentioning that most people buy SG through the black market, which is over 2x cheaper than DH packs. With SG, you can buy copies or convert it to more CSG then buy much of what you need through SG mall or during events. And it doesn't increase your VIP cuz it's not an in-game purchase

It's because of guys like this that spend over 10k in 2 months on a silly mobile game that dh games become complacent, disinterested in improving the game and, in the end, doesn't give a shit about f2p players not even being able to get sublimation on the 7th anniversary. Because this guy and many others will keep funding them through their spend, and so they really have no incentive to reward somebody that waits 5 months for an event rather than the guy who's willing to spend 700 quid for jokes
That’s pretty much every game mate I know they did us(f2p players) dirty this anniversary but without the whales the game would of been dead years ago but I also agree that their greed is huge for example the starry gems gala with double the retirement value of E- to D+ was once and probably won’t return because it was huge for f2p players.Anyway I just stopped expecting anything that way I don’t get disappointed and discouraged playing the game.Have great day mate :)

What this does is expose the fact that there is no spending strategy, as time goes by the power creep simply destroys historic spending.
Therefore the spending strategy should be little and often as opposed to all in one go, which is what I do on the VIP Series.
@@MKxJUMP I'd argue the opposite, it's better to no spend and save, if you must spend. Simply wait for really big events that are obviously good for origin material. That's assuming the fomo race for top that hooks many is not a factor.
It's becoming increasingly clear that the longer any spending can be deferred the better in terms of account power per $ spent as the power creep is accelerating quite noticeably in recent months.
@@NoName-cu4gr Good point, but then again, if you're an hidden CEO/Doctor/Lawyer that can shell out 20k in 2 months time, then you can afford to do stuff like $500-1k weekly to cap out events regardless and still save the 10k they spent more overal casually in those initial 2 months. Money does not matter to these folks. If you're perfectly capable to cap out all and every events week after week ''Saving'' does not really become a thing any more other than the obvious resources. And this goes for every mobile game btw.
Then again, it is perfectly possible this guy is just another of those whales that spent all of their savings out of fomo and will not spend any more, if so, then all this spending was quite possibly a waste.
@@sirnunyabuiz6529 I love the game, I'm not exactly a veteran of IH but have played it solidly every day for the last 2.5 years.
However in recent months I have come to understand that unless you are prepared to spend huge amounts, really huge amounts, all the time, there isn't a lot of point spending much at all beyond a monthly privelege card and perhaps the odd mid price pack here and there as an entertainment cost rather than a misguided belief it is an investment in the game going forward.
My account is VIP 11 and I'm probably about 9-10 K 'invested' but finally starting to lose that FOMO urge to spend on events. Perhaps that's easier for a somewhat higher VIP than a low or mid VIP idk.
I'd crudely estimate that the power creep updates DH apply are effectively resetting the game every 18 months or so at current pace... effectively flushing money spent before that point down the pan.
The realisation needed is that spending large sums that cannot be sustained indefinitely, simply due to FOMO, is just a hopeless cause, chasing after rainbow's end, and in making that realisation takes a big step towards a better experience all round imo. The game can be enjoyed without spending much at all, that is where I am at now.
Again that's perhaps easier to say for someone with a somewhat higher VIP level idk.
