I didn't know this film existed. I read 'Feeding The Rat' back in the early 90s and again, recently. I always wondered what Mo Anthoine looked and sounded like. He is one of the 'unsung heroes' of British mountaineering. I used to own one of his and Joe's Snowdon Moulding helmets. One good aspect of this modern world is that I can look up any fact and obtain any film. This expedition doesn't look very enjoyable! Rain and spiders versus ice and snow. Hmmm.😀
49:20 Actor Neil McCallum, the narrator, sounded more canadian here than he does in his acting roles. Surprised to discover he died not long afterwards in 1976, aged 46.
Read Hamish's book about the climb, most of it factual, dry as dust, understated, then peppered with his explosively funny dry humour - I'm laughing remembering it - e.g. just as they finally got over the prow, he admits " The old brown eye was winking". Hard as nails.
Neil McCallum is a brilliant laconic narrator. Think im right in saying he was a canadian actor/director who did some of the voices for Thunderbirds and Capai Scarlett. Also Im sure I rea he dided jus a couple of years after making this

I just found out Doug Scott has passed.I wanted so much to go to a seminar and bloody hell.Im so depressed today.
