What I'd be really interested in is how experienced hires can fit into certain roles in case they are new to consulting. So let's say you are experienced in a field of interest for a consultancy and are hired as principal / project lead - how do you manage to catch-up to consultants who've been doing this for a couple of years?
The firm will generally provide comprehensive training when you join and may even provide an adjustment period whereby you act a level below on a couple projects so that you can get up to speed. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for your videos! There are other videos but yours are just nicer to watch and more informative. Last month I got into a MC position coming from a different background. It was a struggle to get to the required quality, so I sat down in the evenings and watched your videos. Now 1 week has passed and I got a praise from the SM that my work meets the expectation and that I should keep it up. Thanks man
Consultancy in various organizations is dependent on various projections of institutions along with dynamism. The adaptability in consultations is inevitable. How robust do we keep it in check on pipeline?
This is the first video I saw from your channel, and you should know you got another subscriber. I am someone aspiring to work as a Supply Chain consultant in Germany. Seeing this video opened my eyes to the existence of such firms. My mind only thought only top firms such as EY and Deloitte offered Supply Chain consultant roles. Thank you for creating a dream for me to aspire to 😊. Please let me know of other firms in the supply chain consulting industry. Could you please explain more about the presentation to the MD during the interview?
From working in procurement for many years it's starting to look interesting with a consultant career. To bad am not fresh from school and thereby material for theese type of jobs. Great tho to see something from this side of the table!
Hi, great to hear you also work in this area :) As far as I know, INVERTO is also looking for experienced hires in case this is of interest. Best! Heinrich
Fantastic video! Would love to get some examples of how you organize your email tool and your notetaking approach when you were project leader. It seems that getting those right is quite important in managing roles where you're a knowledge hub for a lot of parties.
Hi Fadira, if you speak the local language of the office you would be interested in, this should be possible! Though for details best to get in touch with the HR team! Best, Heinrich
Hi Heinrich....Thank you so much for your very insightful videos!Really hope to hear from you! I know you focus more on the big three. I hope to eventually join them but I just got into EY as an assistant manager in the Strategy and Transactions team under the consulting service line! switching career from engineering. Please advice on being the best at this and how to set myself up for excellence and do the right projects!!
My pleasure! Congratulations on your offer! I think it is important to try and work on your excel and powerpoint skills before starting as these are the tools you use most in consulting.
Hey man, if you are seeing this question then please reply. Is it possible to get into McKinsey after doing MIM from TUM, Germany? Also, i have 2 yrs of work experience so quite confused whether i should do MIM or MBA, if incase i am doing MBA from any average private university from Germany, then which of the above written 2 options(MIM TUM/ MBA from above average private uni) give me higher chances to get into McKinsey? Would love reading anyone else's view on this too, thanks!
Hi Yunus, yes definitely interested in entrepreneurship. Would consider my current role also as pretty entrepreneurial. But let's see what the future will bring! Best, Heinrich
I know you may not like my question, but can I know the salary range of the junior consultant, I know that the ealary of management consultant juniors in the GCC are 5000-6000$, so I would like to compare to see if it is a serious choice because it needs a different system of preparation Thank you for your time
Glassdoor often gives very accurate information on salaries. There are also sites such as managementconsulted.com/consultant-salary/. I hope this is helpful. :)
