I couldn't stop smiling when I heard Prophet Ibrahim's prayer. As he said, "whoever disobeys me..." he didn't continue his sentence, but began a new sentence by saying "then surely you are still the Most Merciful and the Most Forgiving." He didn't say, "you can punish them." He still hoped Allah would forgive them. And he still prayed for his parents, even though Allah had told him clearly that his father was destined to go to hell. Even Allah Himself couldn't weaken his hope in Allah's mercy.
