Hi Arthur I just found your channel and love you reviews on Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. I was born and raised and grew up around Chinatown in NY. I lived on Henry Street and miss all great food of Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. Thank you for your wonderful videos. I have subscribed. Looking forward to more of you reviews.

That's awesome and I appreciate your watching! I think perhaps you may have noticed that I tend to go to long established restaurants. I want to hit all those early on in this channel, then move on to those trendy places. My worry is that if I go to the trendy spots, they'll disappear in a year.
BTW, on of my favorite wonton joints was on the corner of Catherine and Henry. I think it was call Happy Family or something like that. Sad how things change too quickly.

Excellent review. When I come back to the area for a visit, I will need to re-watch your videos for sure. The seafood casserole and squid look delicious. Great details.

I appreciate your watching the videos. It's amazing how that part of Queens is constantly growing and changing and there's literally an endless supply of places to visit. But I try to highlight places that might be good and this one definitely was.

I like your reviews and your comments. I do wish you’d focus your camera more on the food itself. Thank you for sharing

Excellent review Arthur. I'm surprised you only have 581 subscribers. Authentic Chinese dishes are always the best. When it comes to reviewing Chinese restaurants it is not the number of reviews that are important. It is the opinions of ethnic Chinese reviewers that are more important in general.

Thank you! I appreciate your comment. I definitely believe I can add a little more depth to the Cantonese food that I review. Hopefully, those who like this channel will not find things repetitive. :)

Thanks for this review unfortunately I don’t like in NYC or flushing and I missed so many good Cantonese food. I saw your video from Chinatown Uncle Lou I think it looks good. I missed 69 Bayard food. That is the best Cantonese food made for us Cantonese people not just for Lo Fans. The best is their beef chow fun with so good wok hei. One day I saw the cook and he said he made my chow fun and I told him that is one of the best chow fun I ever had. I keep dreaming that it will reopen back again and dam covid killed this great resturant. Also it killed all ten late night restaurants too. Lastly after covid all of the food prices had gotten insane. Never seen beef chow fun close to $20 and now seems $20 per dish is the norm. Dam!!

I see your point but keep in mind there’s people in the Midwest who can only dream of eating all these Asian foods in the northeast cities . I don’t live in the Northeast anymore but food generally gets worse once you leave the Northeast especially the pizza.

Surprised you didnt get their dumpling soup. Its what they are famous for.
My wifes family was hooked on this place for a few months and it felt like we were going every other week.
Its pretty good. Its not in the super crowded area of main st flushing. So that helps.

Thanks. Nice review. I clicked on this because of the word Cantonese. Most restaurants near me in Jersey City are from other provinces. I prefer Cantonese food. West Lake beef soup has cilantro, not parsley. I only recently heard of this soup. I didn't grow up with it.

Yeah I agree Cantonese is great. However lately I’ve been blown away by the Lamb barbecue. I think it’s west Chinese food near the Middle East border.

What's clear, the NY Southern Chinese restaurants are way better than what we have in SF.

You not wrong. Went to sf before and the portion to price ratio ain’t it, also the flavors are way off

SGV and LA has good Chinese food. Is Oakland part of SF? Hear the food there is great.

That’s interesting. My big regret is not eating Chinese food when I visited San Francisco. It seems like every time I visit California I focus on Mexican food.

May I suggest not alway filming yourself eating everything. Eat smaller portions to taste the food. You can try or eat some foods off camera. We are all foodies. 😎
