In Today’s video , it’s Pay Day On A Chemical Tanker ! And how you can also make 8k a month . In this video I show my day to day life & experiences on a Chemical Tanker. Working on ships might not be the most fun job but they are definitely very rewarding at times .

If you aren’t going to college , union apprenticeship or merchant marines apprenticeship is where it’s at. So many young people would rather be a barista at Starbucks for $12/hr than get their hands dirty and stack some serous cash. Good for you man. You’re doing good things
I’m in Houston, graduated in May from high school and just got my Twic card. I have a friend working at the ports and he’ll help me get in but my end goal is to set sail and stack up cash. Invest the cash into real estate, crypto, and stocks but mainly real estate and go from there. Feel that time is flying but at the same time I just started my life

So what does a marine merchant actually do?? I've been looking into it, as well as a deckhand or tankerman. Not sure which is the better route to take in this industry.
Your ship content really put things into perspective. I am planning on putting in my paperwork to enroll in December. I am really looking forward to this experience.

My uncle used to do that work you are giving me a good look at how his life was. He is Deceased now, but thank you for sharing. One thing he used to always talk about is the ports and the women make a video on that if you can. The stuff he would buy overseas was very unusual.

Question: Work boots. Who pays for them. Are there special rating type of work boots? (example: steel or composite toe, oil resistant soles, puncture proof soles, electrical hazard , water proof)?

Quick question for calculating hourly by what you have shown is it 8hrs reqular pay and 4hrs ot per day

I notice on your hours stub that all of the week days (m-f) only have you working 4 hours each day, is that normal?

Question for you, Im class 875 starting in September and they provided us with the standard list of things we need to bring for phase 1 and 2. What are the things that you wish you brought that weren't on the list, both at the school and phase 2 ship? Stay safe brother
Bring extra phone charger! Gotta make sure you have extra . Also bring a power strip for plugging things in . I would bring winter gear like black gloves & wool socks because you’ll be there in the winter & it gets fucking cold . That’s the main ones I remember.

Hi! Your position is ABW, it's AB - Welder or what?
As an AB does your pay increase with time served?Also how do you level up to other rates with higher pay on the ship as part of the union SIU?
Sea time is how you move up .. as you get more sea time you qualify to take test for the next position.. for example if I’m a AB I might need 1080 at sea to test as 3rd mate & then the pay will increase... also the pay depends a lot of the ship
Do you have your loads in discharges to get your tankerman ticket yet

You know what I just thought about something if I did this for a year and did fix and flip deals in real estate . I wouldn’t have to do it anymore after a year. No more 9-5 and plus stocks or whatever like you say

Hey man, during the beginning phases, I heard it's kinda military - like. Is there free time during the day, or is it straight up every-hour-planned. Same thing when you graduate, what's your free time look like?
Yea when your there it’s literally like school ... you get breaks .. lunch periods & all of ... just like any other school just in a military format
When you graduate your all on your own .. ship out when you feel like it .. your a free man lol

Bro, I’m tryna come to SIU as a AB/Tankerman. By those vessels being big asf, do you ever get seasick out there. I work on the Gulf and I be getting Seasick like MF ! But it’s because our vessels are much smaller, so you feel all the waves smh

Yes ... if you go on the website literally anyone can get a MMC .. then you have to take classes to get your endorsements

Go get all your credentials yourself ... Twix , MMC , Passport.. Go to a SIU union hall .. & pay to be in the union ... sail as a C Card

Yo they say the engine department backed up for SIU, you gotta any clue on what’s goin on or how long that’ll be?
I’m not sure .... it’s usually like that when to many people apply for one department... So you might want to look into Deck department for the time being ... no telling how long that will last

Anywhere between 30-120 days & I stay at home until I wanna go back to work
@@Tr3TV2022 thank you for the response. I work on those barges on the Mississippi River and looking to make a change. I already have my mmc with endorsement to load them. All I would have to do is take the Stcw class.

Monthly if you read the dates it's from the 8th to the 24th just have to pause at 7:00 thru 8:00 to read his check stub all the way
