      There is nothing that makes me as happy as driving this car, it is to this day my greatest personal achievement. There is no doubt in my mind that I will have a 5 cylinder quattro4life :)

    Holy sh!t love the way that car moves on boost! I'm going for that same turbo set up but with the .75 A/R T3 housing as my motor is tiny!

      This turbo absolutely kicks ass for the money and I highly recommend anyone to give it a try regardless of engine type or displacement. You just can't go wrong with a borg warner, this litte guy rips hard!

      Oh you want to see a getaway video? Just so happens I have one but I don't want to post it on the channel. We upgraded my friends Mustang last year after our first race, Car is much faster with more boost and aftermarket headers. We attempted to get the rematch on film and happened to pass a cop at 140 so I wasn't about to stop and say hello.
      I was having issues with the car on the video and the rear diff started screaming badly so I was lucky to make it home in one piece. Not my first time and certainly not my last. I'll leave you a link for the video if you wanna check it out.

      @@quattro4life20vt The adrenaline rush is pretty intense when running from the cops. I got away in Peugeot 406 (137 HP) once. My pulse was probably @ 180 the whole run. Luckily the cop did not know the roads as well as me... :)

    Hey I know this video is a few years old now, but I have been daily driving a 87 Audi 5000CS with a efi mc2 on Maxxecu with a hx35/.63 t3 housing, and am considering a BW S57SXE with the .63ar t3/v band housing or a g25-660 but $$$$. How do you think it will perform, currently the hx35 is an absolute lazy turbo and it makes low end drivability a bit crappy. It's my daily driver, with about 30k miles on it now since I have built it. Also learning to tune on it and it's been fun learning all the different things.
    For more reference it currently has the following
    MC2 with a decked head
    MLS HG
    Cast t3 manifold
    hx35 with Tims turbos .63ar hot side
    Deka 630s @3Bar
    3" Stainless exhaust.
    I am spooling around 3500 and full boost at 4000rpm currently 280kpa(absolute) boost target currently

      Sorry I always forget to put that in the description, pretty simple build. Exhaust is just 3" stainless all the way to a 18" Vibrant resonator and that's it. No mufflers and no cats, sounds much better in person friend :)

    I was wondering what A/R you have that S257sxe in. I'm thinking of getting one for my AAN but I'm a bit stuck on what to choose for housing. I've heard the .83 is a good ratio for a daily driver/streetcar. Wanted to know what you thought. Appreciate any feedback!

      I chose the .82 housing so I could accurately compare the s257 to my gtx35r with a .82 housing. I think it is a good middle ground for most turbos, plenty of top end and good mid range.
      However, you should choose your housing size based on your plans/goals. For example, if your going to run low boost on pump gas (let's say 20psi) then you will be better off with a smaller housing (.63 or similar).The bigger housing on lower boost will only add more turbo lag and not more power.
      Now you could still run a smaller housing to spool quicker and crank the boost to 30psi but then you run into the issue of back pressure and losing power up top because of it.
      In my opinion...
      Low boost=smaller housing
      High boost=bigger housing
      Hope this helps!

    Read your description about what clutch you are running. 7a clutch and 7a LWFW. Aside of smaller flywheel bolts is there anything else needed to use the 7a clutch setup in the S4? Thanks

      The only other part required is the all metal throw out bearing. This clutch setup is tricky to drive, I only recommend this setup for race use. It is not daily driver friendly by any means, it has a very very stiff pedal and engagement is aggressive.
      I have let a few people drive the car and I am always reminded that it is difficult to get used to. I definitely make it look easy but I also know this car like the back of my hand. I've got a new clutch for my next setup that I will probably throw in a video soon. Stay tuned!

      @@321ror yes! It is almost spot on with the 3576. The wheel sizes are almost identical. Difference is ball bearing vs journal and of course price

    Would you choose the Borg Warner over a Garrett regardless of price? Im curious how different they feel lag-wise.

      These two turbos have very similar sized turbine wheels but the compressor wheels are different sizes. The bigger and heavier compressor wheel on the garrett makes it more laggy but has more up top. The gtx3576r is a direct comparison to the s257sxe, just compare the wheel sizes and you'll see what I mean.
      At that point the biggest difference other than price is that one is water cooled and the other is not. I have had to replace/repair my aftermarket turbo coolant lines a few times over the years and that gets annoying.
      I was ready to try something non watercooled again and the 257sxe fit the bill. I am very impressed with it and you guys will see more of it soon. Even though the 257 is smaller, it still hits hard as fuck on 30psi ;) thanks for watching!

      It spools about 300 rpm later but it makes a lot more up top. A 3071 tune may work with the s252sxe, check out the compressor wheels they are very close in size to each other

    what rpm did the s257 hit 30psi? I am wondering on going with the same turbo setup, since its quite cheap compared to gtx etc. Also still running on E85?

      I would say around 3800rpm, I highly recommend this turbo especially for the price. I will always run this car on E85, best "mod" for any performance street car!
