When I got clean and sober all those years ago there were so many Rush lyrics that hit me like a ton of bricks and this was one of them. For years, I paid the price and never even thought about what it was costing me. I had to assess my mess for reelz! The Mission became my mantra and the Pass saved my damn life. Oh yeah, I forgot the most important thing, I can play Rush songs on my six and twelve string axes any time I want and never get bored even after 50 years!! Rush on Brother, great playing!
First off let me say congratulations on your sobriety, that takes guts and courage. The RTBs album is one of my favorite albums from RUSH. That time period in our history shaped so many things. From a spiritual perspective to a government suppressing its people. We all have our moments in life where we "Pay the price" This songs has deep meaning and Neil with his intellect knew how to reach so many people through that ability. Thank you for your kind words I very much appreciated them. Keep on rocking and long live the Holy Trinity. With Rush now retired. Of course there is much reflection seeing them so many times. I am just happy to have been alive during their run.

@@jackfino7136 thank you! Thats a 1972 14x5 Slingerland chrome over brass Gene Krupa model. I purchased this snare from a Nashville Tennessee studio drummer a few months ago.
