I’m starting up a podcast in the new year via anchor, your videos have been very informative and I appreciate that so thank you! Learning that growing a podcast is not easy has somehow made me more motivated to work on it. Because I guess at the end of the day it’s something I’m passionate about and really looking forward to and I’m getting a lot of people involved. Thanks for helping out :)

I posted one podcast episode about 18 months ago. About 6-8 weeks ago I logged in a saw that with no marketing it had 188 downloads. 🤔 interesting what if I started taking this seriously. In the 6-8ish weeks I’ve gone from 188 downloads to 10,000. Got my first ad this month. My question is can you get multiple host read ads at a time? And if so how many monthly downloads do you need to be considered for more ads?

I am a solo podcaster as I am assuming you are too.
When you say "get good at podcasting" what are the top areas to focus on? Are you referring to our speaking ability, audio sounds and other tech, etc. I have over 300 eps and also host on anchor but do not have this growth (yet) and I started mine also at the end of 2020. I want to kick off the new year with a bang! Thanks for the video.

I don’t know if there is a “right” time to start monetizing.
Ads do turn off listeners, so there’s probably some value in building a following before you start. But I believe that if your stuff is good then it won’t make to much of a difference.

What software are you using to turn the audio into Video for TH-cam ?
I can make a video on this if more people are interested.
But basically I downloaded some freeuse stock video footage and I edit it in iMovie on my Mac.
I take the audio from my podcast and transition over to the editor and then I just make the video as long as it needs to be.
Then I export the video to my phone and I use an app on my phone to add the captions and then I send a video back to my computer, and then upload it to TH-cam.
@@HenryGTH-cam that's cool, i forgot you can also make a video on canva as well.
My podcast is only showing up on Spotify not Anchor.
Why is that? I wanted my podcast on Anchor so I can start generating $$ from the Anchor adds. Didn't see an option to download my podcast on Anchor or Spotify. Do you have any idea of why this is?

I have heard that you can start earning money much faster with a podcast than with a TH-cam channel. Would you agree?
100% agree. I have my podcast on both TH-cam and podcast platforms. I get 100,000 downloads a week to podcasting VS around 1000 per week on TH-cam
