Fruit trees and garden looking great guys. Loved the look of those Red Robin Nashis', they looked really tasty. Our nectarines coped the brown rot and then the peacharines started to rot in first few days of Feb, but have been better since it got drier. Our Louisa plums did well and the birds only got a couple before they were ripening but they did get stuck in to our louisa cross plums and its a battle to get them to eat before the birds. as it got drier the blackbirds got more and more frantic, ripping out all the mulch (grass clippings) that Anne lovingly puts around all our fruit trees, and stopping what we are trying to achieve in keeping them moist, grrrrrr. Your water melons look great, lots of yummy eating to come, I reckon. Great update.
Grrr dam birds 😄 such a shame about the brown rot!! So frustrating as they rot so quickly. Yes I cannot wait to try the watermelons this year. Maybe in a months time 😊
Thanks for watching. I water the vege garden by hand with a hose every 2nd day. The orchard I havnt watered due to being on tank water so I'm crossing my fingers for rain!!
Re: raspberries, or anything else that gets caterpillars (mine was cabbages. Legions of white cabbage moth!) I've discovered a product that only kills caterpillars. It's called Grazers (G3) from Mitre 10. It doesn't kill the butterflies, bees or any caterpillar predators & isn't harmful to people or pets (apparently) It reacts with something in the caterpillars guts when they ingest it
Whatever kills caterpillars, kills all butterflies and moths. Raspberries are early summer and autumn fruit, which is why you're not getting any in mid summer. Feed the plants well, disrupt the life cycle of the raspberry bud moth by ensuring you regularly pick all the fruit (even damaged fruit), and cut back the canes that have fruited in early summer. Not sure what 'dry berry' is, but might be a water issue? Berries need a good winter chill. They're originally woodland plants so can handle water & shade. Your place looks fabulous. Keep going! 💚
@@TheFoodFarm not this product. It reacts to something in the caterpillar's gut & kills them from the inside once they ingest it. Proof for me is no caterpillars on my cabbages but LOADS of (very healthy) white cabbage moths everywhere
Whereabouts are you? I'm up in the Kaikoura mountains (off grid) Every microclimate is different. Shorter season here with plenty of rain. After 6 years I'm still learning what grows best here in this particular place.
Awesome video, 😀
I haven't seen so hugh plums in my hole life!! wow!
Sooo delicious 😋
Surprised there’s fruit left with me and Logan picking it all the time. Delicious

Beautiful garden.
May I know the total area of the land?
What is the distance fruit trees and fence?
With much love from India.
Thanks so much 🙏 we have 10acres. Distance would be about 2m. We do keep our trees heavily pruned tho to control the size.
