Regarding the Nightfallen rep- in this video I incorrectly recommend the Good Suramaritan questlines for rep grinding. You'll still need 'em for Legion flying, but it seems most of those quests do not grant Nightfallen rep so don't worry about it too much.

Chilled Skeleton Just look out for world quests that drop argus rep tokens. Earlier today killing Inquisitor Vethroz rewarded 2x Argussian Reach token (250 rep each). I got ~8k rep in under an hour between 14 alts.

Wow, WEEKS?! It may take me weeks, and that's if I'm seriously grinding the whole time?! I'm not one of those spoiled "But I want it NOW!" gamers, by any means but that just seems so... harsh. Mark Miles exactly why I didn’t even bother with the Pathfinder achievements. Just finished unlocking Nightborne elves after grinding rep to exalted for about a week. It was somewhat annoying.
"grinding" Most of it is just spending a half hour doing world quests every day. Not really grinding in the old school sense where you were just killing an endless stream of centaurs 24/7.
The rep grind is honestly just there as a placeholder until flying is added. If you play everyday, and do the main story, and a decent amount of wq's then you'll have the pathfinder achievement unlocked by time flying actually drops. Legion on the other hand, after just returning, I wouldn't even grind the pathfinder achievement if I were you. Just don't go to the broken isles unless you want the races.
The pathfinder stuff is getting ridiculous. I get it, they want us to see the new content, but this absurd. By max level we have seen it, give us flying back! And opening these Allied races, omg... Some of this rep is a real grind, like 75 a pop and that takes forever to hit exalted. I'm on revered for a couple and I'm barely making a dent unless they're on a WQ 4 pop... *sigh*
You'd get these reputations to exalted if you just did PvE. I don't see how people aren't easily hitting exalted with these factions. What do you do in your game?
Hate rep grind. They should of just made them available... I would of re subbed and bought Azeroth. For new sub races alone for something fresh to play.

Here's the thing, had i not came back to the game like a week ago, i would not have a problem grinding rep. But i am basically screwed now because everyone is doing the BFA quests so i am utterly handicapped compared to people that were here longer. I have been grinding the rep for like a week and am 25%~ to revered. However, now i can't do that because you need other people to do invasion points and stuff. That and oh yea, i want to play the damned new expansion. Meh, we could live in a society where people eat children and most people would justify it. And the only thing making me buy this expac is upright orcs (mained orc since start of my warcraft adventure), allied races and new storyline and raids. The limited time I have to play I would LOVE to spend on a good story and having fun. Not something boring. My bet is they will add a pay 20 bucks to unlock allied races for those who simply don't have the time to spare. But since the expac hasn't released yet there is still hope that they will add a good quest chain with fun storytelling for each new allied race. Once completed and the requirement of a character 110 is fulfilled you get access. (Stupid thing is getting to 110 is more fun and easier than rep grinding)
They want to keep people playing, but they don't want to create new content. Players who have done all the content in Legion are leaving to go play other games. If they offer up some half-assed reskins of existing races, and require a pre-purchase of BfA plus a months-long grind, they can keep people doing the same boring shit day after day, and thanking them for the opportunity. Some players will be smart enough not to fall for it, but they don't want those players anyway. They want players who are content to do the same boring repetitive bullshit.
Really frustrated by the difference in requirements for Horde and Alliance. Both Alliance allies require rep and achievements that have only been added to the game relatively recently, and which become *excruciatingly slow* once you get to Revered and have finished the story content. The world quests- even the elite ones- all only reward 75 rep. It doesn't feel fun or rewarding, it feels more like the only realistic way to get rep is to do the weeklies for 1000. (Even the Demon Soulstone drop rate is unbelievably low. I don't know why that's even in there.) Meanwhile both Horde allies require reps and achievements that have been in the game since Legion launch (or shortly thereafter). There are entire zones worth of questing content for these factions (especially Highmountain) and they've existed more than twice as long, so Horde players were immediately much more likely to have their Allied Race grinds already done. I'm fine with there being unlock requirements- I'm even fine with them being difficult or grindy. But the size of the gap between the unlocks for Horde vs Alliance is just ludicrous.
Another way of boosting your rep gain is by doing the follower missions that grant Argussian Reach / Army of the Light tokens, with 200% you get 1000 rep. And you usually get one of those per day or so.
I feel exactly the same. I left after Cata, and returned in December. I've been playing pretty hard since then, and I just unlocked Broken Islands, and I have the quest for Argus. Why is it that the Horde can do all there faction building in the normal quest zones but Alliance has to do the upper end stuff? I know I've kind of got a chip on my shoulder about the way it seems Bliz favors the Horde, but come on. How many times does the Horde have to go digging through poop?
It's especially frustrating when you realize everyone needed Insurrection and Highmountain rep for flying anyways in 7.2 so they effectively unlocked allied races far ahead of time without even realizing it. Where as we had maybe 3 months if you believed the data-mining which is shakey confirmation to begin with.

What bothers me is that in order to use the races, you also have to own BFA, but you have to do all this Legion content to get them unlocked?? I just came back after leaving a little bit into Legion and now I have to go do all of the quest chains for all of these reps and get exalted. It's ridiculous. They should be automatically unlocked with the expansion. Forcing people to rep grind is ridiculous.
The most annoying part imo is the fact that it's a big grind. If this was doable in one or two sittings by completing a quest chain and doing some other very small things to unlock it would be acceptable by most players. You're tied to some weeklies and dailies and that sorta crap which is just ridiculous.

Came back 5 days ago after a break for 2 or3 years. I was hyped for new races got 1 month playtime and got "you are now prepared" Well grinding reputation now ... good is boring and ahhhh f•ck it!I stop playing this game again.

i farmed out the highmountain rep today and i noticed that there are one thing that you missed. there are chests that spawn randomly that look like normal treasures but they respawn and are called something else. they have a pretty good chance of dropping rep tokens. i don't know if it's only in highmountain but they really helped me with the grind. also, i queued for normal neltharions lair and it seems that it also gives you 250 rep every time you kill the 3rd boss.
Like I would ever get a lv 110 either , Blizz woud not get me a lv 100 for last expansin now the 100 is screwed also - I guess it is like milk unless you drink it you dont have it. ( Buy one with tokens.. fk me and I bought the collectors edition )
I've been reading and reading and reading (and reading) and was still having trouble understanding what I needed to do. I can't tell you how glad I am that I found your video. Also, I appreciate that you speak at a decent speed.
It's not supposed to be a grind. It's supposed to be an endgame extender. Players who were struggling to find things to do would get a huge amount of extra content from it, but it forces newer players to catch up on content before they access some of the newer stuff.
If your not grinding then don't grind, it's a cool race that makes you play the areas you payed for so you can experience the content, you just got more for playing what you just bought, so why are you complaining?
They have made this way too difficult for people paying $50 for the expansion. If it were free content I’d understand. But people are paying for this slog...
Hey Hazel! Great vid as always. Quick update on the requirements though. You no longer need a 110 on the server you want to make an allied race on. Just one of each faction for the quests. I was able to make a void elf on a new to me server no problem :)

Then to get to chapter 3 you have to re read chapter one and two all over again but you have to read chapter one the same amount of times that you needed to get to chapter 2 even though you already read it a million times. Then you have to re read chapter 2 all over again to get to chapter 3 and so on.”

It’s also worth noting for Nightfallen and Highmountain reps that Warden quests in those zones will award significantly more rep points, both for the Wardens and the zone rep you are in.
Suggestion: Use your vanilla Hearthstone to teleport to the rep area that is being worked on by you. For instance, bind the heartstone to Argus's innkeeper. The Garrison or Dalaran Hearthstones are on separate cool downs.

As someone who uses what little time I have to play to pet battle these requirements are insane. If you buy something you buy it. You shouldn’t have to work for it to.

Clovilah never said it wasn't boring just saying you should earn it and even if you play the game casually most of these factions have been here for ages and only by doing emissaries you should be exalted maybe not the Argus ones but nightfallen and highmountain should at least be very close to completion.
Then wait for what you bought (the xpack) to be actually available. I'm sure the requirements will be gone by then. This requirements are not to be able to play the new races, but to get early access
To add to this, if you're looking to get a 110 of the opposite faction quickly without using a boost, just roll a demon hunter. That should be a no-brainer, but hey, I miss things that are obvious too from time to time.
I think it’s fine you need to rep grind.... like it takes a bit but like it makes it more fun to see the races in the world knowing how hard they worked for them and plus there is less of them so they are more rare
I think they will drop the rep part, its a bit of a joke for anyone who is either new, returning, or plays alts instead of just one main. The requirement of the main quest line I don't have an issue with, you should need to play though it once to get the lore behind the race, but I honestly think the rep requirement will get dropped once that content is no longer 'main focus' just like it was for the suramar questline
For sure I agree, the questline is cool. Random month of grinding isn't. For most people, the grind will be long. I don't min/max that stuff personally

If you have multiple alts at 110, get the Argussian or Light Rep tokens and send them to a character with the highest rep. Super easy grind to exalted.

Nikolai no, it isnt good whatsoever. The rep grind can take weeks to finish. Getting to exalted behind nothing but WQ is terrible. The fact that the quest line for each zone only gets you to honored is a joke. If I'm paying 80-100 bucks for an expansion pack that includes new races, I shouldn't be then stuck behind a rep grind wall. Rep grinds have always been annoying and time consuming. Especially now with WQs being almost all there is go do.
How is this fair for the Alliance players? I have been a loyal Alliance player since lich king and we have to grind out rep for a lifetime when the horde players are basically handed the new races as they unlock by doing quest lines that should have been done already. Not very fair Blizzard.

Scott Adams If that is your highest Highmountain rep character, yes. The requirements are account wide unlocks, so any character meeting them will allow you to access the race specific opening quests. You will still need a 110 Horde character to do the race unlock quest line, though.
Scott Adams My understanding is you just need the achievements on any toon and then they're available across all servers whether you did the grind on alliance or horde.
* You need one character with HM exalted (for Tauren) * You need one character with "Ain't no mountain high enough" achiev (for Tauren) * You need one character with Nightborne exalted (for Nightborne) * You need one character with "Insurrection" achiev (for Nightborne) * You need one character with AotL exalted (for Draenai) * You need one character with Argussian exalted (for VElves) * You need one character with "You are now prepared" achiev (for both Draenai and VElves) You can have all of those requirements in the one toon, or spread among several. They can be in the same realm/faction or not. The only important thing is that you fulfill those requirements however you can * After that, you need a 110 character of the appropriate faction to run the scenario in any realm. Once the scenario is done, you can create the intended Allied race in any realm, wether you have more characters there or not

Yeah + 50% extra world quest rep and if you are human +10% and darkmoon faire = easy 70% rep and just remember to do all the blues world quest with a dragon around since they give to both factions

the main problem is you can't gtin rep hard. there is limit per ay like 1-2k.

With 200% follower mission for Highmountain taurens I got extra 750 for another faction.

I just came back after leaving a little bit into Legion and now I have to go do all of the quest chains for all of these reps and get exalted. It's ridiculous. They should be automatically unlocked with the expansion. Forcing people to rep grind is ridiculous.
The most annoying part imo is the fact that it's a big grind. If this was doable in one or two sittings by completing a quest chain and doing some other very small things to unlock it would be acceptable by most players. You're tied to some weeklies and dailies and that sorta crap which is just ridiculous.

You don't need to grind anything. Wait until August 14th, when BfA comes live, and you won't need anything to create a character from the 4 currently available Allied Races. You want *early access?* Then yes, you will have to "grind" reps. And the " in grind right here

i farmed out the highmountain rep today and i noticed that there are one thing that you missed. there are chests that spawn randomly that look like normal treasures but they respawn and are called something else. they have a pretty good chance of dropping rep tokens. i don't know if it's only in highmountain but they really helped me with the grind. also, i queued for normal neltharions lair and it seems that it also gives you 250 rep every time you kill the 3rd boss.

Do you need to reach exalted with Highmountain Tribe in order to get the race? Or is reverred enough?

I've been reading and reading and reading (and reading) and was still having trouble understanding what I needed to do. I can't tell you how glad I am that I found your video. Also, I appreciate that you speak at a decent speed.
Well there will be no BFA for me. I'm not grinding to open a race that should be automatic when you get the expansion.
It's not supposed to be a grind. It's supposed to be an endgame extender. Players who were struggling to find things to do would get a huge amount of extra content from it, but it forces newer players to catch up on content before they access some of the newer stuff.
that's what I thought, we pay 60-80 bucks for this and have to unlock them through a grind.
@@misterNicarus it's only a grind if you haven't finished Legion. It wasn't that much of a grind even for me who hadn't started Legion.
If your not grinding then don't grind, it's a cool race that makes you play the areas you payed for so you can experience the content, you just got more for playing what you just bought, so why are you complaining?

it's not hard at all you need like 30 mins per day for max rep gain. rep grind is limited atleast for alliance.

Hey Hazel! Great vid as always. Quick update on the requirements though. You no longer need a 110 on the server you want to make an allied race on. Just one of each faction for the quests. I was able to make a void elf on a new to me server no problem :)

so by unlock fast you just mean do the same timegated events everyone else has been doing for rep since legion started. totally deserved a vid.

It LOOKS LIKE it makes sense, but it doesn't. If you have already read the first book you don't need to reread anything. Although, if you haven't, since the new book is a sequel from last year's, then you won't understand it. You need to read last year's book ONLY ONCE to be able to get this one

Yo xD I don’t think you understood at all the point he was trying to make. He’s trying to say “if you want chapter 2 then you have to re read chapter 1 all over again. Then to get to chapter 3 you have to re read chapter one and two all over again but you have to read chapter one the same amount of times that you needed to get to chapter 2 even though you already read it a million times. Then you have to re read chapter 2 all over again to get to chapter 3 and so on.”

You don't need 110 character on a server, i tried it the first day when they came out. Created a level 20 tauren on a completely empty server.

You can unlock the requirements cross-faction in case anyone was wondering.
It’s also worth noting for Nightfallen and Highmountain reps that Warden quests in those zones will award significantly more rep points, both for the Wardens and the zone rep you are in.

I want to come back but it looks overwhelming and grindy.
Suggestion: Use your vanilla Hearthstone to teleport to the rep area that is being worked on by you. For instance, bind the heartstone to Argus's innkeeper. The Garrison or Dalaran Hearthstones are on separate cool downs.

Clovilah never said it wasn't boring just saying you should earn it and even if you play the game casually most of these factions have been here for ages and only by doing emissaries you should be exalted maybe not the Argus ones but nightfallen and highmountain should at least be very close to completion.
Then wait for what you bought (the xpack) to be actually available. I'm sure the requirements will be gone by then. This requirements are not to be able to play the new races, but to get early access

You don't need a level 110 on a server to create one. To test I made one on your server and its the only character I have there.

To add to this, if you're looking to get a 110 of the opposite faction quickly without using a boost, just roll a demon hunter. That should be a no-brainer, but hey, I miss things that are obvious too from time to time.
So If I have a 110 char in Ragnaros with all the reqs i should be able to create a void elf in Dalaran?

Yes, it would be like gating new races behind wod garrisons or something random, doesnt make any sense especially with paid boosts.
I think they will drop the rep part, its a bit of a joke for anyone who is either new, returning, or plays alts instead of just one main. The requirement of the main quest line I don't have an issue with, you should need to play though it once to get the lore behind the race, but I honestly think the rep requirement will get dropped once that content is no longer 'main focus' just like it was for the suramar questline
For sure I agree, the questline is cool. Random month of grinding isn't. For most people, the grind will be long. I don't min/max that stuff personally

If you have multiple alts at 110, get the Argussian or Light Rep tokens and send them to a character with the highest rep. Super easy grind to exalted.
Sheep Whisperer would this be faster to get the tokens one ONE other person and send them over. Or is this only viable if you have more then one? Also does that person have to be with the same faction or can it be either or ?
@Hollowrun, the more Alts you have, the more Token WQs you can do. They're Account bound so you can send them to any toon, any faction, any server.
The tokens are soulbound until you get Exalted, THEN you can mail them to other toons.
That's weird because I sent them to an alt on a different server to get exalted.
Incorrect. I wouldn't have needed to send extra Rep to another toon, if I had a toon that was already exalted.
And again I'm talking about world quest specific rep tokens, not the ones from your order hall.

Nikolai no, it isnt good whatsoever. The rep grind can take weeks to finish. Getting to exalted behind nothing but WQ is terrible. The fact that the quest line for each zone only gets you to honored is a joke. If I'm paying 80-100 bucks for an expansion pack that includes new races, I shouldn't be then stuck behind a rep grind wall. Rep grinds have always been annoying and time consuming. Especially now with WQs being almost all there is go do.

How is this fair for the Alliance players? I have been a loyal Alliance player since lich king and we have to grind out rep for a lifetime when the horde players are basically handed the new races as they unlock by doing quest lines that should have been done already. Not very fair Blizzard.

Scott Adams If that is your highest Highmountain rep character, yes. The requirements are account wide unlocks, so any character meeting them will allow you to access the race specific opening quests.
You will still need a 110 Horde character to do the race unlock quest line, though.
Scott Adams My understanding is you just need the achievements on any toon and then they're available across all servers whether you did the grind on alliance or horde.
* You need one character with HM exalted (for Tauren)
* You need one character with "Ain't no mountain high enough" achiev (for Tauren)
* You need one character with Nightborne exalted (for Nightborne)
* You need one character with "Insurrection" achiev (for Nightborne)
* You need one character with AotL exalted (for Draenai)
* You need one character with Argussian exalted (for VElves)
* You need one character with "You are now prepared" achiev (for both Draenai and VElves)
You can have all of those requirements in the one toon, or spread among several. They can be in the same realm/faction or not. The only important thing is that you fulfill those requirements however you can
* After that, you need a 110 character of the appropriate faction to run the scenario in any realm.
Once the scenario is done, you can create the intended Allied race in any realm, wether you have more characters there or not

Yeah + 50% extra world quest rep and if you are human +10% and darkmoon faire = easy 70% rep and just remember to do all the blues world quest with a dragon around since they give to both factions
