I'm calling it that the bow is in the sand pits in Maridia. There are 4 items down there. He was standing right over them! I've played through two seeds of this randomizer now (completely inspired to play it by Jared), and in both of them there was a really good progression item in the sand pits ..... just good odds of the bow being down there.
The thing about this randomizer is; It takes two find childhood memories and converts them to trauma. Sure. You'll beat this, and you will feel accomplished, though. Accomplishment akin to finally climbing Mt. Everest and reaching the summit, only after losing seven toes to frostbite, your best friend and your kindly Sherpa, Guurung.

He has all medallions now so his mistake doesn't mean much at this point. I'll remove that point once/if he goes into Mire.
25:14 I always do a plasma circle attack in this room. In case you people weren't aware, if you have charge, and one other beam type selected, select power bombs, you can charge up your weapon and do a cool Megaman style move. There's also a trick to absorbing all your bombs, super missiles, and missiles to refill your energy.
15:26 There are 4 items just below that room. I know this is all pre-recorded, so I'll tell those that are reading the comments. The floor on the far right can be shot out, and you can sink in the 2 quicksand pits to enter 2 rooms each with 2 items.

Meanwhile, at the Witch's Hut: Witch: How in the blazes did a mushroom make a grapple beam? Hope he doesn't need it to find something silly, like a bow.
I noticed a few more he missed earlier: At the end of the hallway where you normally get the speedbooster is an item hidden in the ceiling. In the room where you need to blow up some rubble, then speedboost jump over a lava pit, is an item straight up from the ramp. In the escape route from lower norfair is a morph ball passage hidden in the floor of an area where you need to jump up a few narrow passages.
@@Micboss1000 I've noticed a number of items he's missed. There was the missiles in the lava room right before where the grappling beam normally is. Also the extra missiles next to where the reserve tank normally is in Norfair (while he was cooking without Varia Suit). And the power bombs all the way up over Samus's ship - just to name a few. The way this game has items sprinkled about, and including the randomizer - it's kinda cruel if you haven't played it in a while =)
I can only imagine, in the last few months, Jared watches old videos, comes across this series, and realizes that he didn't get the item from the witch's hut.

That sea creature was amazingly well sprited. he used the segmented body thing that all 2d games did, but they actually swapped the segments out depending on what angle you should be viewing the dorsal or ventral scales at.. Fucking nice.
I've played ALttP so much. Knowing he's missing the witch's hut thing and the 3 treasure chests in the mire that he doesn't even need to do the Swamp Palace to get makes this so painful to watch XD.
Poor Jared. This does look like it's going rough. Perhaps check out somewhere in Hyrule? Maybe try the witch hut or... graveyard and castle undergound?

Legend of Zelda/Super Metroid Randomized...more like Jared will do literally anything to avoid misery mire. I am calling it now either he walks in to the dungeon and the bow is literally the first chest OR it is in the spot of the master sword. Either way it was fun to yell GO TO MISERY MIRE JARED at the tv for 27 minutes XD This randomizer has really been unforgiving with the items.
Anyone else wonder if he ever learned that as Samus he can enter his spinning jump by pressing the jump button a second time while in the air? It's actually rather effective. If you have the Space Jump or Screw Attack you can activate either by doing the normal jump and pressing jump again which, once again, makes Samus do the somersaults. I did it a bunch when playing through Super Metroid myself.
I maintain that my guess of where the bow is would by in Norfair outside the door that has the speed booster in it. I wonder if we will end up seeing that checked.
So two questions for those who do play these randomizers as I've never touched em. 1) Would him completing one or the other lock him out of winning if that game contained a key item, like the bow? 2) Would tossing items in LoZ to the fairy pond give a different reward? Like normally you would throw the boomerang to get the red one or was the fairy stuff removed? Don't recall 100%
1. no, if you were to beat mother brain first, you'll get the hyper beam still and go through part of the escape sequence, but they remove the timer and once you are back in crateria, you can use any door still, while if you beat ganon first, it just puts you back on the pyramid. 2. the fairy stuff was mostly removed, as they just add 2 chests by the ponds for the 2 items you would normally be able to get, though if you toss a bottle in, your bottle gets filled with a random bottled content. the money fairy has no purpose at all in the randomizer, though.
then there are the two pits in maridia, both are in the large room with the snail enemies. you can bomb the flloor at the end of the room to access the sinking sand pits. there are two items in each of these.
Jared seems to be in the same state I was in that Dark Souls 2 area with all the poison statues, learning you can be invaded regardless of state and that I definitely should _not_ have ignored the Adaptability state since you have basically 1 i-frame until it hits, like, 40. Hopefully he won't just bail on this like I did on DS2. All that said, I don't regret bailing. It was a lesson: "if you're not having fun, why keep playing (especially if the game feels like it's slowly eroding your soul and/or sanity)? Well, I say "hopefully" but this comment is being made long after the series is done so...

Crystal Flash only uses 10 missiles, 10 supers and 11 power bombs, not all of them. It also has the requirement of being under 50 energy.

i think your mistaken, actually. that isn't a thing in super metroid, only later metroid games like zero mission and fusion.

2.-) Those were removed and the prizes were replaced with chests.

Jared seems to be in the same state I was in that Dark Souls 2 area with all the poison statues, learning you can be invaded regardless of state and that I definitely should _not_ have ignored the Adaptability state since you have basically 1 i-frame until it hits, like, 40.
Hopefully he won't just bail on this like I did on DS2. All that said, I don't regret bailing. It was a lesson: "if you're not having fun, why keep playing (especially if the game feels like it's slowly eroding your soul and/or sanity)? Well, I say "hopefully" but this comment is being made long after the series is done so...
Makes you really appreciate Fusion's and Zero Mission's map system...
God these attp randomizers just love to give you the bow very late in the game
