Since it didn't look like you got a chance to test it in the initial impression, very curious to hear how you end up gelling with the front light in the "by the nightstand for a quick idea" scenario. Thanks for the first impressions!
Great point and yes, I have tested that every day since it was unboxed. The backlight is very bright. I was surprised about the battery life though for it had to be charged again about 12 to 14 hours of use. And of those 14'ish hours only about an hour was the backlight/sidelight enabled. The stylus is cool and so are the colours...

Nice comparison review. I now got the Remarkable Paper Pro for 12 days. The user experience is incredible. Much better than my Supernote A6X2 writing experience. But my main complain is battery live. Even in sleep mode (WIFI OFF, flight Mode) this thing consumes 5% battery /hour. So I have to charge it every single day. Could you check your battery consumption in sleep mode (cover closed)?

Actually really love this video style - you're doing what I've wanted to see on all the other reviews but they're trying to get fancy with camera work or there is jump cuts. I just wanted to see first impressions and this is exactly what I would do when I get mine. I've ordered one and been apprehensive about some of the negative comments, but i think (as this will be my first eink and I have no comparison) i will love it!

As I begin my reMarkable Day Seven with this Paper Pro, yeah, it is quite the writing tablet. I unsheathed the RM2 (reMarkable 2) yesterday and jotted down a page of notes. YES, the speed is quite, quite, quite noticeable with the RM3, more RAM, larger battery, higher resolution, the backlight, new stylus options. And the colors are fabulous. I was reading an eBook last night before bed and turned the page and these drawing in full color jumped off the page. I grew reading comic books and watching Saturday Morning Cartoons - both were sacred activities in my youth. This new reMarkable reminds of those two things
1. simple entertainment & just like Comic Books, this e-ink device allows my brain creativity to flow into the pages and from the pages
2. no distractions when I am consuming knowledge or freeflow writing
3. no beeps, no buzzes during a meeting, just the simplistic idea of endless note taking
4. this device will catch the eye of the student, coworker, and neighbor next door - beware! I just gave my $40 off link to a neighbor of mine that I've known for over a decade. He said, "What is that device and I want one, I need one for work!"

Sorry, coil whine? Nope, I have heard that phrase. Today is my Day Six with the reMarkable 3 (Paper Pro) and my views are quite different from Day One… I try to avoid watching other reviews or “fake reviews” that are hidden commercials. I bought my tablet and the reMarkable 2 back in July 2020 😎

The room you are in must be completely silent and I must have it about 3 inches from my ear to hear it. My wife couldn't hear it either. Does it happen? Yes. Does it bother me? Not in the slightest since I can't even hear it.

Just a useless stupid review of a useless product.
A very poor screen display with a constantly flickering screen refresh.
Poor, dull colour display.
Useless as an ebook reader.
Massively overpriced.
Non-existent customer service.
Please, tell me how your truly feel. And yes, be honest, remember this is for posterity...
