I love UVI and their innovation, but I have to say their preset demo video for this (which can usually drive sales) is pretty awful. It wasn't until I saw their overview video (with way better presets) that I was sold. Hand to God, this is the first library where I felt just experimenting and creating presets isn't a complete waste of productivity.
Feel the same about some of my plug-ins now. Not interested in creating another, saw wave. Just manipulate. Nice interesting sounds

Could you do this in a DAW with 4 or more instruments on different tracks but the same midi input then adjust faders to taste??
Would love to see a walk through of UVIs Kinetics (falcon expansion). I think it flew under most reviewers radar.

Unify by pluginguru does all that with 24 layers instead of four at a much more advanced level with whatever vst instrument you own. And its even cheaper.

It looks like these quad engines are becoming the latest thing, and the libraries are cheap to put together once the engine is done. They can just recycle samples from their existing libraries into these engines. I believe I recognize a lot of these instruments from UVI World and their other libraries. You can expect them to issue a bunch of these, each with a different 'theme'. UVI, Sample Logic, Cinesamples and ? all are doing it. If Unify truly gives all these capabilities and more including the crossfade controller, sequencer/arpeggiator and built in effects, and someone already has a decent sample library collection, at $79 that would seem to be the way to go. Will have to check it out - thanks for the tip.
Got it! This will be crazy useful for TV cues once I get familiar with it starting with this great overview. CPU ranges from decent to miserable. Yep 50% on some patches and I don't have stream recording. Quadra is just a hungry plugin. Hope they improve on that though. Would also make sense to produce expansions for this.

Apparently, at this point in time, UVI software is not capable of taking advantage of multi-core processors. That's why running four different instruments with four different arpeggios in Quadra is especially demanding on CPU usage.
Sounds and looks a lot like Output Signal (even the color scheme, lol). But better priced of course, and blending 4 rather than 2 sources.
Sample Logic's cinematic guitars infinity is very similar....
so which one to get?
Great product but extremely CPU hungry.. even more than Avenger , with Late 2012 i7 16 GB ram with SSD drives and a thunderbolt Focusrite , its not even possible to play a phrase... a lot of plugins , apps works just fine on this machine.. beware..
