    Engaged shoppers sounds like a great Facebook ads targeting option...

    In this video I explain what targeting engaged shoppers on Facebook means...

    Would be great to see a video on audience overlap when duplicating adsets in the same campaign. Because as soon as I find an audience that works, I always keep duplicating it in the same adsets but in higher budgets and sometimes even just duplicate it as it is to find new pockets of the audience. Works great but then after a while, the adset says "learning limited" due to audience overlap but it still generates sales like before.

    • @anasrizwan85
      @anasrizwan85 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Hello, you can easily stop overlapping of audience with 2 ways. For example; you’re doing Split Testing Via ABO campaign and you choose the interest of Home Decor & Home Design respectively in 2 adsets. This interest in common & may the audience of both the interest would be same. This will cause you Ad fatigue and audience overlap. The easy way to eliminate this thing is to exclude: Home Design from Home decor adset & Home decor from Home design ad set.
      The second way is the CBO campaign, it has the automated feature to stop the audience overlap regardless of the interest & optimise the best interest possible according to your budget & ad creative.
      Thank you😊

    Thanks a lot for covering this topic! I would like also to ask - does FB behavior “often travelling abroad” from your experience increases conversion rate when we sell some product? Logic behind that these people should have higher "purchasing power".

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't think that is likely to translate I'm afraid. It would depend on your market. In the UK for example I would say that younger people (students) travel more than anyone. They have less purchasing power than people in their 40s for example who don't travel as much with work, family commitments, etc.

    I once ran ads for a highly recognized clothing brand for 5 consecutive months .... the regular targeting didn't work for the most part at this point ( 3 weeks in the contract) I narrowed the audience with "Engaged Shopper" and the results were astounding ... But other times it was not so astounding but better than the audience without it, IMHO it's a safe bet for conversions (for lifestyle products). As for CPC is concerned it was higher but never so much that it defeats the purpose.

    I know I can combine audiences if needed, however, in your experience, would it be OK to use audiences of 80/90/100k on their own instead of combining them and therefore getting muddier results?

    Hi Ben,
    I have a campaign ($50 daily budget, one ad set) running ok for 12 days (Roas 2.6, Cost per purchase $25, $60 product) and suddenly stopped generating sales in last 3 days. I have watched your relevant videos.
    My question is: if I spend $200-250 a day to get those 50 conversions done within 7 days, I’m assuming I’ll be out of learning phase and ad will be shown as “active”. Is this optimisation a one off event? Like, will it be back to learning phase if I didn’t get 50 conversions on the following week? In other words, do you have to keep the same budget and make sure 50 sales per week? I’m guessing many advertiser have the same question as we never exited learning or learning limited phase due to low budget.
    Thanks

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question - optimisation is not a one off event and I'd strongly recommend you don't increase your budget by that much to get out of the learning phase. You are highly likely to see a large spike in cost per purchase.

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Omar, you will almost certainly see higher CPMs in November. That's just about the most expensive time of the year to advertise. I wouldn't worry about CPMs though - there is nothing you can do about that. Focus on improving the elements you have control over - your ad creative, targeting, offer, etc. It's your cost per conversion that matters.

    the title hooked me in ben. Had the exact same doubt but it has yet to crystallize into a problem heh-heh.
    Have a question though. I have an ad set that runs to audience X, but it still does not give a conversion after two weeks.
    Assuming that my landing page does convert (because the traffic from other ad sets converted), how long should I keep an ad set running until I decide that an audience - for this ad set variation - just does not work at all?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Hans, glad to hear it.
      I don't tend to think about testing as a time but more of a budget limit. How much are you willing to spend to acquire a customer - then multiply that by 3 if you're on a deadline or 5 if you aren't. Once you've spent that and you don't have any conversions, I'd pause that ad set and try something else.
