Looks awesome 😎 I have done the same with my Ruger Hawkeye and 10/22 rifles. They look so much better with the pepper laminate than plastic/syntetic stocks.
Overall I would rate it 8/10. Finish was very nice, took minimal fitting (had to clearance the barrel to free float) and the instructions and bedding process was fairly standard. I'm not a big fan of plastic stocks and it feels and shoulders much better. I would buy Boyd's again.
You're right it isn't hardwood, but Boyd's does make walnut stocks. As for it "sounding" like the OG stock I completely disagree, it is much better than the hollow plastic stock. You're entitled to your opinion though.
Awesome thank you. I just bought this same rifle and also hate the plastic. Glad I found your chanel

Are you still happy with your boyds stock? I'm thinking about getting the at one stock in the same color as yours for my Ruger American. Thanks!

@@pachuagfirearmsrestorations thanks for the reply!
Looks nice. But a laminated stock still isn’t a hardwood stock. It doesn’t feel like wood and still sounds like the original stock.
