Mine has been ark (pvp too) most people I know that can cause major anxiety especially in pvp, but I think it has to deal with how we grow up and what we were always comforted by when young
Subnautica: Below Zero is my cozy game. I suppose the very fact that it's even capable of "coziness" to anyone is why it doesn't get much love from the community, but I adore it.
I love how when the npcs need a ride from you the game treats them the same as the fish and materials scarps- just turn them around and fit them in your boat😂
Just remember that basalt columns are hexagonal. There's some cool ones in Ireland you could research called the Giants' Causeway. Could be a fun Minecraft build! :)

I would like to voice the obvious... It is adorable how much you love fishing mechanics in video games. you love fishing games, its most of what you do on StarDew, and I love that the gamer from PEI plays fishing games. soothes my Canadian pride.
I mean fishing irl is like the cruelest thing you could do to animals. Ripping a hole into their mouth and dragging them outside their habitat suffocating them to death. Pretty messed up to do as a sport / hobby
I've never seen this game except for hearing about it via Gem's hermitcraft base, and I am eagerly anticipating watching the whole playthrough as I don't have the technology to play it myself.
the storyline of Dredge is very good, and there are multiple paths you can go down, hopefully that doesnt spoil anything. cant wait to see how you play it.
I think Dredge IS meant to be cozy. It uses the kind of horror where the main horrifying thing isn't what's actually scary, but that you're so used to it as just a part of life. It's meant to be cozy in spite of and alongside the abberations and monsters, the fact that fishing in this area means you need to drive off a kraken first or fishing in that one means avoiding an anglerfish the size of an apartment block during nights. It's the kind of environment you can't return to the normal world from. Though maybe I'm just really succeptable to that, since so many of my cozy games are half-horror, like Subnautica or Dredge itself.

I absolutely adore Dredge and had originally been waiting for it since I got to play the demo, and beat it multiple times once it came out. Its one of the few games I’ve 100%’d, its surprisingly relaxing/calming. My last playthrough was not letting myself leave for the next area (I could go to older ones of course for shops, etc) until I caught all aberrations. I also really do like that it doesn’t take terribly long to finish, as I don’t really have time/attention span to work at a game that takes 50+ hours to beat… Plus, the art style is absolutely amazing! Games don’t need to be ultra realistic high res, you can go so far with good art styling that brings a unique wonderful feel to a game
came from hermitcraft but stayed for this gameplay, because this is an awesome game lolol, plus gem's playstyle is so easy to watch and relaxing for me

I started playing this game after Gem mentioned it earlier on in the season. It's funny how a game can be both cozy and unsettling at the same time. Spooky cute! The art style and the music is fantastic. I've also really enjoyed exploring the biomes farther away from the starting islands.

If you like the environments and atmosphere of Dredge, you might consider taking a look at The Long Dark. TLD has a story mode that is fantastic; it is a wilderness survival premise.
Have you ever thought about just not having the live chat overlay on screen? Don't find it important for live and makes for better videos after the fact too Anyway, looking forward to watching through and glad it sounds like you enjoyed
I leave the chat there cause personally when im watching VODs I really enjoy seeing how the chat was reacting. But i think its super personal preference, not everyone likes seeing chat
For a different perspective, I prefer as a vod viewer when the chat is on screen :) when it's not there in a vod it makes conversations with chat a little confusing, and it's fun to see what thoughts and comments chat had through the stream
had an idea for your hc base while you were talking about the whaling area. near where i live used to be an old whaling village, and all thats left now is a chimney. could be more space saving than a whole whaling area.

1:01:30 you didnt lose anything. Just damaged two spaces in your cargo hold, which means once you empty it those spaces are unavailable for new cargo.
